Yeah, you absolutely need "8round M1014 Pellets" ammo. Slugs blow. Here's the difference between slugs and pellets. Slug - 4500 straight damage. Single projectile. Pellets - 2000 damage each. 8 pellets per cartridge. 16000 blood damage if all hit. So basically an M1014 with a slug is a single shot AKM, while an M1014 with PELLETS is a fucking handheld cannon.

So i was AFK on the outskirts of Elecktro (in between the barn and city proper). When i come back i see a bandit with NVG's looking at me over the wall in third person. I type "?" into direct chat. To my amazement instead of greeting me with a bullet he says "sup". We have a nice but short conversation and he ends up dropping his spare gun for me, an MP5SD. I offer to give him my m1014 to replace it but he declines. 5 seconds later AS50 shots ring out, we scatter but i notice his name appear in the death messages. R.I.P. - Friendly bandit. Apparantly the guy who shot him was using a hacked AS-50 with a thermal scope, and was repremanded by the admin. But a nice experience non-the-less. It came in quite handing when i got into the city, being silenced and all. Idk if it was my hero skin or what, but a nice guy :).

Spawn at the coast without equipment, not even a backpack.

This is caused by alt+f4'ing or otherwise closing the game during the loading phase. It corrupts your location, which makes the game think your in the de-bug plains, which makes it re-spawn you on the coast. If you want to avoid this, don't close the game while it's loading. If your stuck on loading, open another instance of DayZ and let that one load up. Once your in-game, you can close the other window. -

Helicopters and M107s...

Well, i'm not sure how much damage a helicopter can take, but the m107 is kinda weak against vehicles. What you REALLY want is an AS50. For reference an M107 does about 30,000 damage per shot, while an AS50 (using NATO ammo) will do something insane like 120,000. So one AS50 shot is worth about 4 M107 shots. -
Antiboidics are rare and the only thing that will cure an infection (what you have). Your blood will drop to 6000 and stay there (even if you heal yourself, it will degrade back to 6000 again). You could try trading for one or use the medic thread : http://dayzmod.com/f...ce-we-can-help/ OR, you could raid hospitals and try to find one yourself. P.S. - The infection sometimes glitches out and cures itself when you re-log, you could try that. But don't get your hopes up.

Add me on steam if you want, i'll come find ya. Otherwise press Q/E to roll, and press W while in mid-roll. This "cancels" the roll faster, and lets you move faster than crawling. Tent mechanics - please clarify

Seems to be random but they save eventually. As a general rule, put an item you don't mind losing in your tent and wait for a restart. If it's still there after restart, the tent's good to go. Even if it's not still there, it will probably still work. Tents seem to reset occasionally after the first restart, but then they work fine regardless. From my personal experience anyway. The best way to mitigate loss is to have multiple tents :D. -
Hero bandits and humanity

Iv'e got the hero skin, i've killed many survivors (self defense of course), and i've still got my skin. As one of the guys above me mentioned, it think you gain humanity over time once your a hero. I can't really verify if that's true however, because the de-bug monitor is bugged (irony) and seems to reset my humanity every time i log in. So even if i kill a guy and get like -3000 humanity, i've still got my skin. I think this is because i've got a lot of positive humanity, it just doesn't show up. So killing a guy won't put me below 0, even if that's what the debug monitor shows. If any of that made sense.
