    Hmm maybe it's just for me then? I know that the hogs and cows don't really move or run at all. This might not be that big of a deal for cows but definitely hogs. It would be nice if they ran when they heard shots though..

    Im my opinion, not having direct chat working is the biggest problem yet. This sucks having to talk to people in side chat...
  14. As we all know, getting PKed it very annoying. And what's more annoying is spawning MILES away from where you started or were killed. My idea is to add safehouses along or outside of major cities and locations scattered around the map that would allow you to "check-in" there so if you end up getting killed you spawn near that particular safehouse. This way you won't end up in a place you far away from your group having to spend a lot time trying to regroup. Thoughts? EDIT: this is NOT a physical building, this is more of a checkpoint

Just because you think this wouldn't work doesn't automatically declare it as an invalid idea.

    This is where I have to say that I fully understand what you mean' date=' and it will break the game. If you can't understand why or how it will break the game then you have a couple of loose nuts and bolts. A player is meant to randomly spawn and not be able to find there way right off the bat. If a player spawns at a safe house then they will know their way straight away. You will also have constant player killers using this to kill even more players who walk out of that building. Sorry to say, you haven't thought this through. ~Derranged [/quote'] once again, not a building, and to prevent the whole "spawn killing" you would have them spawn within a 1-2 mile radius of that checkpoint. This is NOT a building.
  18. So what would you like them to do? Completely take out pvp? That would ruin the game more than pvp. Yes, it is annoying to get killed when you've spent hours collecting stuff but shit happens. Just deal with it. It's happened to me plenty of times but I'm not complaining because I know that without that aspect of the game it would suck

    Made a new bandit skin for you guys

    Yes. It was a conscious design decision. 1. It's "bandity"; bandanas are a common visual short hand for gangsters' date=' terrorists, etc. 2. There was an overabundance of green already used on the texture. For the sake of visual interest, the texture needed some variety. 3. There's gameplay considerations at play. The survivor skins are multicoloured and civilian-casual with overlayed body armour. Making the bandits full-on green on the primarily green map of Chernarus would give them a visual-psychological advantage over players playing with the survivor mesh/skin. The red bandana negates that. 4. Red overall visually fits the theme of danger associated with bandit players. Red is recognized the world over as "danger"/"stop"/"warning"/"caution". The colour scheme thus reflects this. 5. It decidedly fits in a lot more in the setting than a dusty desert coloured shemagh. I considered any of these reasons sufficient to support the design decision on their own. If you can coherently and validly and factually (from a critical thinking standpoint) rebut each of those (as I would consider even a single point remaining valid as abrogating any and all other counterpoints), I'll happily remake it to your specifications. [/quote'] I like the design you picked. However, maybe there should be a few bandit skins that you randomly get. For instance, maybe one has a black ski mask with rag-torn clothes and camo. Another being the one you made. And maybe even one more with a bandanna on the hair part of the head that doesn't cover the face! Just a suggestion!!

    In my bug report about it Rocket replied saying its an issue with Arma2 specifically' date=' and the only way its looking it will be fixed is that if its identified, put on the dev list for the official Arma2 game, and eventually way down the road released with an actual patch for Arma2. I was playing with a friend on a private server and we both still had @dayz in our launch settings (steam users) and direct communications was still broke. He couldn't hear me or see what I wrote in it. However, after we both took out the mod it worked perfectly fine. I think it's the mod affecting it. That's VERY interesting feedback. Would you be able to send me your RPT file to [email protected]? Just sent it! :D
