I am in the pool of 'Y' gens (unfortunately). The issue with todays 'y' gens is they do not understand the work involved in anything. They take everything for granted and want instant gratitude. I believe that the OP would be the person who would get the shits because he wasnt earning 80k + on his first job out of school. Have some appreciation for the hard work that has come into play. If someone told you that they could make World of Warcraft in a year what would you think?? Not possible. Now someone will say WOW is different. Well it is the same in some aspects as they have to deal with 1000's of objects being run around, different tasks to do, a massive environment and a lot of things that can go wrong. Tell me how many hackers you have seen so far? Granted, someone will work some cheat out. But it will stop a lot of script kiddies from wrecking the game. So what happens is instead of sharing your stories online you share them with DAYZ devs. They upload them into books that can be found throughout cherno.

Hi All, I am still a noob when it comes to DAYZ so dont be a hater for what I am posting. As a gamer I have been playing for longer than I can remember and I want to use this post to recognize the work of Rocket. No I dont have a bromance but how good is this game. People don't realize how successfull this game is. 900,000 people in half a year. What MOD (not game) has generated so much interest. I have been looking through these forums and I have heard a lot of complaints but very few of praise. This is what I say to all those haters out there. This is Amazing for an alpha release. Battlefield 3 had more hackers and bugs in its beta releases. Keep in mind that this is a multi million dollar company with departments of devs who can devote there time to fix this stuff. Correct me if I am wrong but Rockets team is only small 5 or so devs? What they have managed to achieve is tremendous. This game has some bugs but for what its worth its definately playable. Yes there is going to be hackers and exploiters its just going to happen. Every game suffers from it so its not isolated. I am also currently playing Ghost Recon Future Soldier which I paid $50 for. I could not play the game for 2 weeks because I could not use the keyboard and mouse. Now this is ubisoft who are supposed to be the best in the business and they can not even release a PC game with keyboard and mouse support. Currently you can only play 10 minutes of a MP game and then get kicked. How long can you jump on a DAYZ server for without getting kicked. My personal experiences say "For as long as I want to play". I was never a looter when it comes to games Diablo and WOW just bore me. But what Rocket and the team have developed is an amazing concept. What games people talk about the team has been able to create. The options in this game are so vast that its amazing to cram into one game. I have no affiliation with BI or Rocket.. Just a grateful forum member and player showing respect where its due.

Hi All, Just a quick one. If you have issues picking up a pack off of the ground. Make sure that you pick up all items that are around the pack first. So if there is a set of binoculars next to the body you have to pick these up and it will allow you to take the pack. Otherwise it will just give you the gear option.

If you give me an exact requirement I can script this in powershell. As detailed as you can. Including log files. I have server logs in which I can test this on. PM me the details and I will do it tonight when I get the chance. Should not take me too long. A Remember as detailed as you can please.

Dayz Public Ban Organization - Public Cheat Ban System Hi All, After being hacked. I am about to purchase my own server. I would like this to be a public ban system. Since we can not trust battleeye or dayz staff at the moment for stopping hackers lets do it ourselves. Lets make a public ban system. I will create a text file attached to the OP which server admins can download and add the contents of it to . I would like to start a body of cheat administrators which monitor and review hacking claims. This list will be imported by server admins into their ban list group. If people want to get off the ban list they have to first bring it up with the owner of the server. Then get the server admin to add the details of the banned player to this post. Screenshots and video footage will provide more reason to ban someone. So I will detail the steps now. Step 1: Obtain information about the hacker What IP What Server What time (including your own timezone and if possible the time in the game) Where you saw a hacker or were killed by one. Note: The organisation will not ban people just because they got killed or they think they were killed by a hacker. Unless you can prove or have other people that were playing with you that can vouch for your request to ban, a ban will not be placed. Step 2: Contact the server admin and refer them to this post. Give them the details from Step 1 and tell them to post the details here Step 3: DPO review the claims and if sufficient evidence is provided the name and IP is added to the ban list. Hopefully other server admins will add look at this post so the community can stamp out hackers. It seems to be the only way at the moment. I am a fair person so if you believe you have been unlawfully blocked then send me a pm and I will distribute amongst other members in the DPO and if found wrongly blocked the ban will be lifted and server admins contacted to . Please place these links on forums and anywhere to get good publicity. If you are a server admin check here every monday for updates to the ban list. I have no file to upload at the moment as I am only taking new bans from now on.

Open up steam and execute ARMA 2 OA and it should have a thing which states Reinstall battleeye or update battleeye. Fixed it for me.

If you build above base areas you will see large clans barracading common areas like barracks and tents. Making it impossible for normal folk to get in..

I love your enthusiasm.... but.... Thumbs down lol... Why would you need a phone???? Use skype..... The only thing I would use a mobile phone or mobile phone battery for is to either distract a zombie or throw it through some glass... Or ....throw it at you repetively until you die...

What you could do if someone is doing a repetive task i.e bandaging over and over again... They get tired and it affects the quality of there work thus dropping there ability. Probably too complex to implement though.

People will exploit. It is in a gamers nature. Duping stuff because they can. Changing ammo to replenish. Remember it is the way a person wants to play the game. You cant stop it and the OP has made a good suggestion.

Was playing on the following server and the above mentioned player teleported around and had killed all of the players on the server. Killed me once in the NW airfield than I spawned in balota and he killed me there (around 5 minutes later) Also killed 2 of my friends. 12:46am est 10
