Good idea but a better idea would be to have a timeout value of 5 seconds so that the character is still active for 5 seconds before disconnecting. Thus taking shots and dying. When you disconnect you should be in a safe place. I have had people disconnecting on me. It is so unfair :(...

Rocket will not be putting in a currency system from what he was saying in a recent conference. He is promoting the idea of players doing trades etc but does not want to put currency in the game.

I agree with "A Friend" you have to wait a little for it to save.

Storing helicopters outside of the map is too risky. On a server restart it would probably delete.

#1 I believe you can not swap out without putting your gun in your backpack... #2 Sometimes when a person is connecting in they will sit there for a while whilst there character is loading, pretty sure they are invisible at this point so people can not kill them. You may have been unlucky and hit him whilst this was happening. Or, he may have been hacking. But I am going more for "just connecting" symptom.

This is not feasible. The zeds have to be pushed back to the hive if people are joining. Thus increasing the load on the server. I agree that there should be a slight increase into how far you have to be for zeds to spawn but 500 would be max in terms of server and network load. in the 2000m example you would have major contention issues as well because zombies would spawn and then dissappear constantly as people circle around townships/cities. Two people who are 4 square kilometeres apart, 1999m <- Center of town -> 1999m should not have to add extra load to the server for no use at all. Good idea, but the high cost of running servers already will not benefit from this idea.

The only reason you are being killed is most probably that you are doing the same thing. Most newbies run around with a chem light in there mouth screaming look at me look at me. Einsteins definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Yes you are getting shot. How about you move from cover to cover. I am not trying to troll you or tell you that you are stupid but I am not the oldest player of this game. Going on a little over a week now. But I have managed to only be killed a couple of times. Most of the time I was killed because I was looking at a map in dayzdb in a stupid location in the middle of a open field. But exercise a bit of caution and you will be fine. Remember it is a patience game. Wait... Look... Listen... Then approach.... I have spent up to 10 minutes scoping a place before proceeding. If you value your characters life show it respect. I will not shoot an unarmed player personally. Only if they are heading straight towards me looking like a psycho lol... Changing a game how you are suggesting may make it more inviting for noobies but as soon as you start to get a little more experience in the game you will hate the words you say.

Its amazing how ungrateful, SOME NOT ALL, people are these days. You offer a hand and they want an arm. The people who are complaining about this game being a PVP game have not stepped foot out of cherno and elektro. I find it quite enjoying to be able to go on a 4 hour long adventure going through remote towns with just a compass and a map. I ask anyone who is reading this post to name a MOD, actually even a game that has this much potential? I think this post will go quiet as there trully is no other game with this diversity. I give one final challenge. Dont play the game for a week. Do you miss it? Yes you do, you little DAYZ hoar... You miss it bad haha... Thats because the game is good. You keep playing because its fun. Peace Out dayz name MP. I play in Aussie if you want to join me and my mates. Once server requirements are a little cheaper I will definately hire a server out. After all money doesnt grow on trees :D

I play a bit of BF3 and the hackers on there can knife you from 1km away. Headshots through walls and this game has been in production for over a year and punkbuster is still not able to stop them.

So you have never coded a game before... It is easy to say all these things but to actually implement them in the current world is impossible. The server requirements are bad enough as they are now let a lone your request. Good idea but unfortunately this will hinder the game and change it completely. People always want to change things but when that happens nobody approves of it. If the majority of the requests on this forum where processed and implemented then you would see a lot of complainers who just want the original game.

You sleep on the ground prone. Just in case when you wake up there are zeds around you and you can crawl away.

You dont cram items you need in your backpack out of fear that they will magically disappear.

A real way to fix this IMO is to create a rank system. Pc players cream over a rank system. Good deed equals more points. bad deed equals less points. Some more perks for good deed players. Like higher chance of specific loots or something like that. You should be able to hover over a player for 2 seconds and ID him as a bandit or survivor. That will cull the numbers down because a lot of people are just killing out of fear. Getting the jump, throwing the first punch just in case. If you were able to check if the person is a bandit then BAM to the face lol...

What should happen is that people who die from being killed by zombies, drop there loot and backpack, turn into zombies. This would increase the amount of zombies. But it would not stop people shooting each other. Remember there should be a balance between fun and realism. People still want to be able to enjoy the game without making it a task to play.

So I am going to go out on a limb here and I think that there should be a once off fee for dayz. Maybe $10. Only reason being that it would generate more money for more developers to get on board. 900,000 people x 10 equals a bug free game IMO. CONSTRUCTIVE Thoughts / Criticism??
