Which of these maps should I play: Lingor Island, Namalsk, or Panthera? They all seem really great in there own respects, and I've played only Lingor before. Also, if you had to choose which would be your favorite? Thanks :D. ~EpicPencil

Thanks auzzii, that gun sounds amazing I'm hoping to find it soon but Namalsk is a little scary, with the children yelling help and all. And disastrical thanks for breaking it down for me, I think I may try out Panthera when I get bored with Namalsk, which I don't see happening any time soon to be honest; I also currently prefer it to any other map besides Chernarus, it seems to me at least that it has a bit more immersion than Chernarus, and I like that.

Whenever I try and launch DayZ, be it with DayZ Commander or Six Launcher, I see those boxes with the checks pop up, and after those are finished loading I get a black screen. This occured after I played around with my config files trying to get a higher FPS, which i dont really need, but I fixed that problem already. So I get a black screen and I try and alt+tab out, and it doesnt work. Still a black screen. Try and ctrl+alt+del out. Nope, doesnt work either. I end up having to put my computer into sleep mode to fix this and get out of the black screen. Please help me I'm thinking about re-installing Arma 2 and Arma 2: OA if I have to so I can fix this problem. Thanks.

Yes, it is the mobile gpu because I am playing on a laptop. The game has worked very well previously and up until now it ran smoothly with no hitches like this. Also, I am using a steam version of ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: OA. But I downloaded DayZ using DayZ Commander.

Yes, its a quad core intel i7 processor with 6 GB of RAM... My video card is Nvidia GeForce GT 540M.

This is my suggestion for a more complex medical system. This could be something that's simple and effective. I like to think a good system for this was the one used in Americas Army 3. Please watch the whole video or at the very least watch from around the 9:30 mark 'till the end. It is certainly a little boring but the system for it is very intuitive IMO.

most of the fallout games have a cannibalism perk. If you eat someone while you're in front of the public, your "karma" goes down. And also if you have a follower and they see you do it, then they will leave you. I don't see a problem with this, and the fallout games, especially fallout 3, are great games that everyone should play.

Today is my second day of DayZ. So far I have mixed feelings about it. Anyways, today i was in Cherno, trying to get some supplies, but i fell and broke my leg. I stopped the bleeding and everything and started to crawl towards some gun fire I heard, hoping someone would show a little kindness to someone with literally no weapons, a few items and a broken left leg. I found the shots coming from a small warehouse. A man was inside firing an M1911. I typed in to chat "Whoever's in there, can you help me because I have a broken leg.". The mystery shooter came outside, took one look at me, and shot me. I don't understand. I posed absolutely zero threat to him, had little to no supplies on me, and yet he still murdered me, in cold blood. If I was in his position, I would help the person out. Is everyone in the game like this? I certainly hope not, seeing as how I'd like this game to be fun, not full of assholes, like cod players. I've heard these players are called "bandits". But everyone I've came across in my journey has been a complete douche or has ignored me.

THIS.^ This is exactly what should be added. Please, get on this, I realize the mod is in alpha, but this is the time for major fixes, such as the stuff said above.

The same thing happened to me today again... twice. This time i had a few supplies, some weapons, but a broken leg too. I crawled to the hospital, got an epi-pen and was about to inject myself when i saw someone. I looked at him, typed "friendly?" and then he shot me. Bandits are bitches.

Here watch this video It's the training for the medic system in americas army 3. watch the whole thing or just skip around, but make sure you watch at 9;30 to the end, it would be cool if they implemented that stuff. It would be very cool to see something like this implemented into Day Z, and it also adds a little bit of challenge, especially while under fire.

I was playing on a server, hanging out and hiding in a forest, laying down with nothing around except more forest and shrubs, and I had some very good items on me, when the server started to restart. i disconnected from the server and left the game. When i returned to the game, on the same server, it said "Tyler was killed" in the death messages. Seeing as how my in game name is Tyler, I was a bit confused. When i spawned, I was in the middle of a field, with nothing around. I left and exited arma 2 and wrote this post. Is there a way to fix this? I need to know before i try and get back on. (Remember, in the forest there was literally nothing around.). Thanks for any replies.

Okay I reconnected to the server and I have all my stuff thankfully, but I spawned on the coast which isn't too much of a problem because i can always return to the place i was thanks for the help.
