Yet again, the problem is not the item (thermal, AS50, whatever) but the duping, so the frequency with which it occurs. I am not ashamed to admit I am part of the problem I guess. I never Intentionally duped stuff. I built camps and stored items and weapons though, with a team of dudes. Items i aquired from time raiding military installations and chopper wrecks. Spent hours hunting chopper wrecks. But things we stored In tents are there upon restart. When I died to hackers 5 times in 5 days I said fuck it, and now when I die I re-gear at tents and head out. If they fixed the duping, I would accept it and be happy.

Ha ha, if I had talent... guess its just my inner Bandit at work ;)

I dunno, sniper battles are pretty fun. I countersniped a guy the other day. He killed my team mate. I hid for a bit, figured out were he was. Hit 'E'. leaned out from behind my rock and drilled him. What he was doing standing on a lighthouse I will never know.

Anyone want to try this? Download the shooting range mission from armaholic. Set your target test as follows. Range = 1000 m Targets = 10 Movement = random Duration = 320 seconds You can use either AS50 or M107. Fraps and post results. My predictions are we will see the AS50 yield higher scores than the M107. I will try and post one when I get home tonight, but I also freely admit to being a lousy shot! Edit: uploading to youtube now. 1000m, 120 seconds, random movement on target. 2 hours left, will post video tomo morning.

Here is my top tip. The road that runs north to south in cherno is a high traffic area. Plenty vehicles in cherno. Let some other numpty fix them. Ambush them on the way out of town. I have done this a few times, although once it backfired due to hackers.

If the only action I can get is fresh spawns at the coast, I will take them. I try not to shoot at less than 400m, and it helps if they are running... I need the practice. Maintaining bandit skin can be hard work. Also, this is a high risk enterprise. I die doing this on the granular. Occasionally get into fun sniper battles. And I stay the fuck away from dobry hill.

So hacker spawns a ton of hueys. my mate dropy is 500m away. I jump in one and say to him "hey Dropy watch this, I'm gonna do a low pass over you". Dropy says "No! NO!". results below:

Before this weekend, humanity was at 2500. Now at -29000. Good times.

This. Skill wise, it's interesting. The noise and recoil on the M107 make it a challenge to use. The as50 is definitely easier to use. In my opinion,these weapons take skill to use at their intended ranges. When do you need a .50 sniper? When your target is over 1000m away. Hitting a moving target at 1000m takes skill. Anyone want to argue that? Now, I know that is not what the OP meant. But I reckon I am right. Yes, shooting someone at 100m with a light fifty is pretty easy. But that's not what the tool was intended for.

Hey big T, Yes, the swearing is how I would do it but is completely unnecessary, truth be told. Your attention to detail is good, do not change that. But being succinct, and getting to the meat quickly is important, so try to do both. Interesting thing; it is much harder to read text on a screen than it is on a printed page. Final question: did you proof read it? Whenever you craft something for others to read, read it back. It is best if you can read it out loud in your head, see how it sounds. Shit is fucked. Shooting a medic because you saw him across the field and wanted his beans is fine. But asking for help and then dropping him? No bandit skills there. I guess more medics will roll with BGs now.

Eh, not well written IMO. Do not use long words for the sake of using long words. That story has way too many unnecessary words. If you were to remove every single adjective, it would be vastly improved. Clarity over complexity, every time. Making your sentences shorter would not hurt either. Is English your first language? If not, then it is bloody good, and I retract my comments. I am not being critical to be a dick. You obviously care about your writing, and I hope you find this constructive critism of some use. Take the following as an example. I would write it more like this: His hail of bullets hit me once, then twice. He continued to spay up the landscape to no further effect, he was shooting like a nutter and his barrel was probably sky high by now. All the while I was running my arse off, still being chased by a fuckload of zombies. His two hits had my blood down to 3000 and I had fucked my ankle up running. I have heard that de-sync issues can cause bullets to not do the full amount of damage, some times delaying the players death. I heard it specifically in conjunction with delayed 1 shot kills on .50 sniper rifles. Coulda been that. Did you see red link warnings whilst playing? May not have been hax.
