This server provided one of my craziest DayZ moments to date: I had a little birs. I flew to the airfield, and saw a fuel truck, a huey, and a chopper wreck - shit yeah I think. I land the LB and hop out. As i head to the chopper wreck, i hear engine noise. I look right, and an Antonov is hurtling down the runway 50 feet off the deck. He buzzes me, pulls vertical, and ejects. I think, "Hey, thats cool.... OHSHITTHE PLANE IS COMING FOR ME!". I sprint away and just avoid dying a fiery kinetic death. Call that shots fired then, so i light the dude up with my SAW as soon as he lands. Then outta nowhere, dude in a UAZ runs me over. Funniest 60 seconds of DayZ ever.

You should love the general bandit. We keep you on your toes.

Yup, 107 for life! I took out a V3S on lingor at 800m last night, had a UAZ under fire for 5 minutes whilst it drove around madly, good times!

Totally loving lingor, more vehicles, more mil-spec loot, more action. Have had better player interactions there too. Taking a nice holiday from chernarus and enjoying the sun. A quick story. The other day I got an M24, and headed to an elevated position in calamar to snipe. Local time was around 0600, and whilst the server was lo-pop, sure enough I get a contact within 5 minutes. Watching this guy (asterix) move, I know he is gonna be a hard target. Always running, he never stops, sprinting through the residential buildings to the west of the airfield. When he gets within 300m, I say fuck it and start shooting while he is still running. Miss, miss, hit, miss. I tag him but no KO, and he is in a building. He proceeds south, using the buildings for cover, whilst I hock the occasional 7.62 at him. In side chat, he asks another player if said player is the bastard shooting at him. I chime in, and identify myself as the bastard In question. He wants to loot the airfield, but knows he is fucked with me on overwatch. I explain my bandit disposition, but propose a compromise. I will let him live, and assist his looting, if he blood bags me, and of course, I know he needs a blood bag too. We strike a deal, and amazingly, he does not kill me on sight. I assist his loot run, we hit the hospital, and heal up. We decide to roll together for a while. I had spotted a Ural earlier, so we check it out. Loaded to the gills with guns! We hop in and head north, and apart from one small misunderstanding (with shots fired) when I accidentally drove off without him, we are all good. That is, until I prang the Ural into a roadblock, destroying it and killing myself. He survived though. I bequeathed him my M24 and Alice pack, and wished him luck. I shake like shit when I am in a tense combat situation. Heart rate shoots up, breathing all fucked up. It's what makes DayZ a stand out gaming experience for me, it's what keeps me coming back.

Yesterday, I was killed sniping Stary Sobor. I respawned in cherno, and ran to the supermarket. Got a backpack, food and a lee enfield. Hit the church for ammo, and decided to exit east, past the factory. I had no axe, so I entered the factory on the east and started looking around. I am on the second floor, and I turn back towards the stairs to see a ghillie guy, with his back to me, looking at the city. He must have just logged in, or he would have seen me when I entered. The first leeroy shot knocked him out, the second broke his leg and the third, forth or fith did him in (no such thing as overkill). I nabbed an AS50, L85, beaucoup ammo, Alice pack, and a full set of tools inc rangefinder, GPS and NVG. Fastest re gear ever. I decided it was time to GTFO, and began to exfil to the NE, when I saw a player 100m ahead doing the same thing. My leeroy fire had attracted zombies, so they were on my arse. She got the good news from 1/2 a STANAG clip, but I did not stop to loot as I was already well geared and flapping a bit from the exposure, and blood loss from zombie hits. I ran north to the hills, feeling like a bad ass bandit!

Oh, now you have to tell it. Quick, someone buy a round of drinks!

Dude had an Alice pack with an As50, 2 meat and 8 M10 clips. Also an L85 in his hands. Fastest re gear ever. Yes, light 50's are too common.
