Even if DayZ is a Survival Game there is a plot (poor) behind. Care Packages, Barracks, Hangar and Military tents are supposed to HAVE MILITARY WEAPONS. I know that DayZ is a "survival game", but think about it: you go into a military area and loot all the buildings and you are supposed to find MILITARY weaponry, not the Makarov or the CZ 550, it's UNREALISTIC. Even if you have the ghillie and an as50, and your enemy a M24, it doesnt matter... Personal Skill, commonsense will help you a lot in a firefight or in avoiding hot area (Elektro Hill and Cherno Snipers). I think that the game should be balanced yes, but should also require Skill to survive. Yes, people are getting dumber and dumber with videogames that always tells to you what to do, and dying by a sniper shot because you forgot to check the hills that sorround a city, is a great lesson

Killed an high geared bandit in front of the Hospital. I was w ghillie and AKM afk in the lootable buildings, i dont hear anything so i bein to chat with my cell... when i saw someone moving on my monitor... and it was a silence and lethal Bandit wit NVG, rangefinder and L85 thermal. Killed with few shoot of AKM and looted him.

I'm Edoardo (ingame). Since i am really suspicious, i dont like to meet other survivor, i prefer to observe and avoid big city(cherno and Elektro) and scavange in night. Unfortunately i met a friendly survivor and i headshotted him automatically, and i'm sorry for that. I'm not a veteran but i'm not a newbye too. I'd like to make an Ambush to a group of 6 - 8 player. I thought that in towns like vybor or stary sobor was too risky becouse the zombies are threat too and the players are ready for the worse . So i thought to kill them halfway, we have no snipers but the ambush will be done at evening/night. Any tips? One of them have NVG.

Answering the first question: becouse all the codfags think that FPS like COD or B3 are the best of the best(and the second one kinda simulative....).
