Edited. Now after a couple of weeks without the global chat, its clear, to me atleast, that it isnt as fun as it used to be. You are completely unable to communicate with other survivors in order to meet up, ask for help, identifying friendlies or enemies and general chit chat. Yeah i know, teamspeak etc. Which isnt always available, doesnt allow contact with every survivor and doesnt work as easily. I realize that having some magic chat program in a game where realism is the goal doesnt work, because its simply not realistic. So the idea to implement walkie talkies, a realistic way to communicate with others. Its just the general idea however, i havent decided yet on range/options/rarity etc. So now there are a few things i would like to have your input for: Yes or no, and why. -Have a walkie talkie as a basic item? -Walkie talkies need a power source -Walkie talkies should have multiple/private channels -Radio towers should play an important role -Walkie talkies should have some downside to using it / sounds/ give away your position with some gps tracking or w/e Another idea would be to have cellphones, found on citizens and could have a unique number, downside is that you would need credit or something ( Random thought anyways )

It's just like this game does everything it can in order to mess your stuff up, everytime you find something good, there is something that will prevent you from enjoying it, either your backpack will eat it, it will dissapear because your backpack is full, the game crashes etc. Again today, after weeks i finally see my first vehicle again, okay it was a tractor, yet i'd be happy with a wheelchair at this point. So i check it out, needs some parts but overall rather good, i open a map in a browser to have a look at the industrial areas so i can look for the parts, its fine 99 out of a 100 times but ofcourse today it decides to not be fine, and the game hides behind my desktop. So i just restart it, hoping i dont spawn somewhere at the beach AGAIN for whatever reason, and log back in. I'm back where i was but ofcourse, the tractor is now gone for some reason. I go down to the industrial area anyways in case it will spawn later, and for once, i actually find the exact parts i need immediately, only because i don't have a vehicle ofcourse. So in the end the tractor doesn't respawn and i'm getting ready to face several more weeks on foot. I'm sure everyone has had these situations more then once, Post them!

Ouch, exploding vehicles are no fun either. One day i just started a new life, and within 15 minutes there's some guy in a pick up driving on the road towards me, i hide in the bushes and it drives past, then it turns around and glitches and slides and i have no idea whats going on. I assume he's trying to run me over so i take a shot with my double barreled shotgun, which only had one round. Somehow this killed the guy but 2 guys fall out of the truck. I inspect the bodies and they are both the same person, and had the same loot, no idea how or why but aslong as it works in my advantage.. I get in the truck but its in pretty bad condition, so i drive it to the woods nearby and hide it there, in order to find some parts in Cherno nearby, this happend at Mogilevka by the way. As soon as i exit the woods at some random point i get shot down, no idea from where or by who. But i start again, spawn at Cherno and manage to find the parts i needed. I run back towards the vehicle and find my unlooted corpse on the way, so i pick up whatever i need and proceed to fix the car. Well this worked out pretty well '' i thought, had some decent gear, a truck in good condition and im ready to go. So i get in my truck, drive about 50 meters when the car flips over for no reason, and explodes. When i return there is no corpse, no loot, no nothing.. and im back at having nothing.

Yes i'm aware of that, doesn't change the fact that its annoying.

I didnt say anything about needing someone to hold my hand, about not liking to die or about being penalized or not. Happend to me once in the barracks at NWAF, just survived some crazy shit and i was laughing my ass off, crawling through the barracks when i opened a door and died. Eventually you will stop caring anyways, i've died so many times now due to so many stupid reasons, or stupid players for that matter that i dont care about dying anymore. Not that i go kamikaze rambo everywhere, but if i happen to die i just respawn and not really care.

If im at NWAF, which i usually enter from north east, i check for zombies near the hangers or barracks, the when i get close enough i look at the firestation and ATC tower, if i still dont see any zombies i will just run over the runway straight into the barracks or firestation.

You're a faggot if you kill unarmed people, killing for food is bullshit. Whenver i go into a supermarket there are atleast a dozen and one cans in there, there are cows, sheeps and all sorts of animals, There is no reason to kill someone unarmed, or even someone who just got started and has some basic gear. You kill someone because you dont want to take a risk of being killed, self defense, or you want his stuff. If you kill someone just for the killing you're a faggot.

Never understood why they make camps on hills out in the open, i'd hide it in trees and whatnot.

I play on the same server regardless of time, if its pitch black i just walk based on my map and use flashlights in town, flares if i think its safe enough. The server always restarts though as soon as it gets dark, so i never get to play in the dark, even if i have 3 NVGs now.

Just dont play as a female, chances are that you arent a female. And it a better idea to play as a guy anyways. Unlike WoW you won't get things for being female, you just get what you deserve, and thats a bullet between your eyes.

Never seen a sniper at Stary, i usually come from the north, run through the little patch of woods whilst looking around and go straight for the tents. Always ends well. Same at the NW airfield, havent seen a soul in the last 10 times i been there, i go there running across the mid fields, towards the barracks, and sprint through the hangars later without problems.

There's are 2 camps on my server that i've found, both filled with all you would need. They have been flattened a dozen times but keep respawning with all the gear inside. I would go there to restock if i die, but its only the very northern part of the map, so its a long long run, but eventually you'll get there

Think this was related to raising brightness and gamma outside the game, mainly NVIDIA Cards could be set in a way where they would have a big advantage over people who didnt have access to that gamma* boost. Dont think using ingame settings is an exploit in any way.

Its playable, but it certainly doesnt make things easier, as mentioned you wont hear zombies, or people shooting at you. Means you will have to be extra aware on the visual level.

Duration on the server where it is deployed: Permanent? (Owner alive) Infinitely as long as someone (not necessarily the owner) places/removes items every 7 days (Owner dead) Regardless, tents are buggy, there are camps out there which have been flattened a dozen times, yet they keep respawning with all the loot still in there.
