All you need to survive Hatchet Box of Matches Hunting Knife 1 Water Bottle Once you achieve these 4 items that you can EASILY find in a supermarket you can just go away from people and just sit in the forest eating your wild pig meat and drinking pond water. If you are STILL in a town/city/military installation and you clearly have the 4 items I mentioned up above then you are clearly not trying to SURVIVE anymore.

You should have finished the other guy off. If he had an AK he also might have had a bandage and morphine to fix himself back up.

Looks like survival to me. All the people they have killed were armed and they had decent items/backpacks/gear. So yes it looks like legitimate survival/self defense and also just to note in the video multiple snipers were killed by them so yeah... legit survival.

If Dayz became another "typical" FPS game then how come nobody is allowed to run full sprint and fire their guns set on full auto and get perfect headshots yet? Last I checked Dayz didn't have such a shitty shooting mechanic like Call of Failure.

my good deed for the day was loading in to a server and hearing someone with an m24 snipe a noob in the eastern elektra fire station i shot him in the head a few times with an M9SD looted his beans and went about my day

if you see another player you have a 99% chance of dying unless you are armed then your chance of death will be lowered to 90% if you are good at FPS games then your chances will be lowered down to the minimum of 50%

from your post it seems you are a server admin just do what the other UK server admins do and spawn the item

yeah but if you are just "surviving" all you need is minimum 1 water bottle hunting knife hatchet matches after that you can just avoid people entirely and go somewhere north in the boonies and just stay by a pond and kill pigs etc with your hatchet.... 100,000 uses will last you awhile then you are stuck with... doing nothing continuously entering towns etc and looking for items isn't surviving anymore it sounds like you are trying to do something else entirely you are trying to find something and it is an unecessary thing to do once you have your bare minimum survival gear

unless you want zombie juices mixing in with that freshly killed chicken/rabbit/goat/pig/sheep/cow you want to gut/cook/eat then by all means go for it!

i usually run in a circle by the statues of the 3 guys infront of the clock tower in Cherno firing my 1911 into the sky while the road flare is violently burning in my hand

if you really really need to travel at night just use the GPS...... shift and click is your friend and the flashlight only shines infront of you if you set your move speed to walking not running

havent died yet while holding a flare its why i continue to do so

if this mod is failing why have nearly 1 million people purchased arma 2 in the last... say month just to play DayZ you sir/maam/it have just blown my mind...

um he did the most basic trick you can do for flanking he disconnected (non combat disconnect so you cant call him al alt f4 baby, you never shot him) he traveled to the area behind your position on another server he logged back in on your server he failed with the M4 then died

have you ever tried holding a BLUE chemlight in your hand... not sure if you know of this but you CAN pick them up after you throw them... I personally like running around in Cherno/Elektra with a road flare in my hand
