Not sure if you actually read my post or skimmed it, but i'm talking about (sorry) War Z, or Infestation, whatever name they changed it to in order to rid the perception of them releasing a terribly put together game and sold it as a full game. That is how it is now in THAT game. If that was implemented, someone could log out, (still could even do it successfully if a logout timer was implemented), switch to a different server, get teleported outside of town, switch back to the server, and now the player could have the jump on the person they just escaped. Now, the player who didn't ghost has NO idea where the person is, and could get killed by them. I just don't think this a good solution for the problem.

I'm sure many forum users here haven't played much of the game that shall not be named. However, they already implemented a system such as this. If a player logs onto a server, they are now set to that server. If they leave the server and come back to the exact same server, they are logged in to the place that they logged out at. However, if they join a new server, it will spawn them outside the city or area that they were at when they logged out and then "locks" them to that server. Its not too bad of an idea, but it doesn't really fix the server hopping. People just leave and spawn outside the new town, not too far away and can just run back inside. In theory, even if it was implemented, i'm sure there'd be a few instances where someone would be teleported to the "safe area" and gets killed. However, it does pretty much "fix" ghosting. I just don't think its worth it because if you have to switch servers to get with a friend who just got on, it would be pretty obnoxious to get teleported out of your camping spot and into harms way just because you wanted to play with another friend.

So, has anyone ever had any really tense moments where things went horribly wrong because you judged a situation poorly? My friend and I had just found a nice Ural. It was one of our first vehicles so we were guarding it with our lives. The only thing it needed was some engine parts and fuel-tank parts. We stopped by a industrial site along the coast to find supplies. As I exited the vehicle... a survivor started running right for the hood of the car. He then brings his hand back, grenade charging to be thrown right through the windshield of our shiny new car. "FLOOR IT!" I scream to my friend. He pushes the accelerator, runs the guy over instantly killing him, and I prepared myself to be blown away. And thats when the tin can he threw at our car didn't explode. Awkward!

Someone could've seen the vehicles, grabbed them and dipped out, not even caring about the tents.

Yeah, I really hope everyone who was saying "You hacked, your fault, enjoy your ban." feels like a retard right now. Heres to hoping my friend is unbanned when he logs in today! Cheers!

My friend literally downloaded the game yesterday, we played for about 5 hours and he was global banned. I played with him the ENTIRETY of the time we were on. However, he logged on an hour before he got banned and was instantly brought to the "You have been killed" screen on a server in which a hacker had nuked the server 30 minutes prior, so I was confused on how he died. However, funny thing is, he was running the latest patch in a server that WASN'T on the latest patch, so, those theories could be correct. Also, for everyone saying that these are all hackers that are raging, you're pretty dense. We're all a community and while indeed, I bet 80% of the people that ARE complaining are probably hackers, but I definitely think that some innocent people are being banned here. And if you refuse to even ponder that thought, then you are a waste of air.

I stepped on the base of that Mountain. Everyone on the server died as we were hiking up. We alt-f4ed in time. We decided it wasn't worth the risk... so we left in our car to pick up our friend. On the way back, the car crashed, and killed all of us. Never shall I go back. Whenever you go to that Mountain, you carry something back with you.

My friend literally bought the game today. We managed to get in about 4 or 5 hours of solid play and he was Globally banned. Believe me or not, but they're banning innocent players. Not all cases may be this, (obviously), but there have been some wrongful bans.

To start, my friend and I found a car, spent some time fixing it up, then decided to head north. Well, our travels took us on the road next to that Mountain, and my friend eagerly wanted to make the trek up due to all of the stories. After begging for him to change his mind, we park the car and start our trek. "You wanted this.." I tell him. As we start running up the Mountain we both begin to dysnc. He tells me i'm running sideways when i'm not even next to him. He then tells me to stop moving, but I already have. The screen was artifacting throughout this whole ordeal. Then... EVERYONE IN THE SERVER STARTS DYING. I'm so sorry US 1218... I told him it was a bad idea to go up that Mountain.

Actually, my friend just recieved a global ban aswell. Weird.

Hacker probably nuked everyone on the server. Saw everyone in the server start dying and me and my friend Alt-f4ed in time. Was on US 1218 Virginia at around 7:30.

Well. Me and my friend have been surviving for about a week now. Had pretty much everything a survivor could ever want. We had GPS, NVG, Rangefinders, DMRs, survival gear, satchel charges, ghillies, etc. We had it good. Well to start off these events, our luck was through the roof. We managed to find a bike, a huey, and a hatchback and take them all back to our base. With our sweet findings, the possibilties were endless. Well. Out of nowhere, the server crashed. It never came back up. (Still hasnt) So, with nothing but the weapons on our back we decided to switch servers. One of our friends joined us, so we chose a server and made it a mission to go get him. As we are running, our luck comes back. We find a Bus with a tent near by containing an M107. We were excited. However, what goes up... and the server kept restarting, pushing us further back. Eventually, it stopped and we continued on. The server restarted one more time, this time, taking the bus back to wherever it wanted. Well, there goes that. So as we find another server, my friend gets teleported back to the coast with all of his gear. Weird, but we kept playing. He was now with my other friend and I hauled ass on foot to get to them. After a long ass run from nearly the top of the map, we make it to eachother. Then, being low on food, we decide to raid the supermarket in Elektro. How about some more luck? lolnope.jpg As I'm providing overwatch with my sniper from the hilltop, and my friends are just about out of the town from a successful mission, i'm provided with a bullet inbetween my eyes. Damn. I began to tell my friends what happened. "Im down guys I dont know where he is but you.." i was cut off by the sound of them being shot at. My first friend dies by sniper and my other friend then runs for the market but is still being shot at. He makes it in the market, just to be greeted by death from some unknown location. Then, everyone starts systemically being killed on our server. On one respawn, my friend dies, I look to my right and a sniper with a ghillie morphs out of no where. My last words? "Fuck you... dirty hacker..." *boom* Dead as fuck. I wish I could QQ about hackers, but i'm on the forums enough to know how often it happens. Just gotta pick back up and keep on keeping on I guess. I'm just sad my character didn't die in a more epic way. Death by hacker is always shitty. (Heads up) the hacker was on server US 1218 Virginia. TL;DR A hacker scripted in a giant banana in Cherno.

I don't feel like having Sniper support is dishonest. Just extra coverage. Just because you buy a protection plan for a T.V. doesn't mean you intend to smash the thing right when you get home.

As I was on my trip back from getting medical supplies on a US Server , I stumbled upon, none other than a working Huey. I look around. Not one person around. 7ish people on the server so I thought I was momentarily safe. Heart pounding through my chest, I jump in the helicopter and throttle that bad bitch up. As the heli lifts off I see in white chat: "Hello".. OHFUCKOHFUCKOHFUCK So I proceed to fly off. Holy shit. I made it. Full tank? Too good to be true! I land the heli somewhere in a field, and begin making a run for the treeline. "YOU HAVE BEEN KICKED FROM THE GAME" I've been playing on this server for weeks and have not seen anything like this. Well, thats my QQ for the night. Still got a taste of that sweet Huey though.
