i don't know how he sunk into the ground, but he likely was totally unaware you were getting a graphics glitch. -
sometimes six launcher doesn't update your client stuff properly. try manually downloading the latest armaII patch http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php and see if that helps

try going prone and rolling around. that works at least to get you out of the glitched novy spawn

i experienced this a bit today, i think their servers are a bit unstable this morning. keep trying, eventually mine updated it just took 4 servers. you can always try to manually update battle eye if it doesn't work out for you

depends on the server, depends on how busy the hive is, i think we all experience this. i usually kill arma II after its hung for 4 minutes or so

i always feel more comfortable playing with friends. i have this bad habit of stashing good weapons at camp and going out with shit.

it goes on sale at amazon occasionally for 19.99. was on sale in the steam sale a week or so ago for 17.99 (ARMA II:CO) i think there are plans for a standalone release in the near future, but it probably won't be free.

this would be great, especially since there are random bugs when dropping stuff. i lost a tent yesterday after trying to put it down to get a soda out of my backpack

here's what i've experienced so far for bugs: * the stretchy graphics around military zombie areas * i've supermanned out of deer stands while climbing down (great way to break legs) * latest and greatest: logged in this morning, was teleported from camp in gorka to cherno coast, with all my equip. now i'm dying of thirst, but had water at campsite. still alive waiting for RRF!

this is it right here. the last heli crash site i went to had 3 boxes of STANAG ammo, and 1 gun (FN FAL AN/PVS-4). 2 boxes were normal, 1 box was STANAG-SD. felt great to load that all into the truck and save it. well, felt great until the server restarted and the truck with my life in it disappeared.

it is not combat logging if he is not in combat. with that stated, yeah sounds like a risk you took by logging by an airfield - that's generally not a good idea.
