    well they aren't allowed to lock their servers, so enjoy your blacklist when the time comes. http://dayzmod.com/f...se/#entry467286 let me guess, you need more proof since this guy may have photoshopped? http://dayzmod.com/f...-locked-server/ is that enough proof or will you try to argue a conspiracy against you now? looks to me like you and some buddies want to stock up on the best gear, find some choppers, then open the server back up. things were going smooth til others showed up and you kicked them repeatedly trying to discourage them connecting, but they kept coming. so you locked the server, and now you are busted so take it like a man. aint that a bitch.

    i hear ya man none of us want a loose shit, but at the end of the day there is only so much rocket and the folks at dayz can do with a mod. lots of these problems exist in ARMAII, lets just hope bohemia takes notice of how many people are buying their game for dayZ, and issues a patch to get rid of script injection w/ HxD or CheatEngine the vast majority of these so called hackers are total noobs who copy and paste tutorial data and scripts.

    to uninstall dayz you should only really have to delete the @dayz folder where the mod lives. if you do that, six launcher should re-download it for you. hope you get things working! make sure you are using an updated version of six launcher too - that software is nice but it is not bug free

    a good idea in theory, but i don't think there is a feasible way to make this happen. once communities have 'forum police' / overly aggressive moderators things go downhill.

    ha not bad hope you had morphine. its kinda dumb that you get murders counted against you for people that may have started shooting at you and may or may not have hit you. i think that would be a cool game mechanic to change.

    to be honest, hopefully the armaII folks take notice, and work with rocket and the dayz team. they must be noticing the increase in sales for a game that originally debuted in 2009. personally i'm hoping they work together for the new engine and fix up some of the core problems in the game that can't be addresses in the mod itself.

    HFBServers wouldn't be blacklisted, the server itself would be. dayz wouldn't bother blacklisting an entire hosting company, they would focus on the single server in violation.

    you might want to double check your armaII beta version. I know six launcher is supposed to take care of all this for you, but I know from experience it doesn't always do this properly. i had a friend last week have this very problem, and manually installing the latest beta patch for armaII got him out of this bad state. you can tell the armaII patch you are on by loading dayz and just checking from that startup screen in the lower right

    i don't think i want this, but mostly because i don't want another channel where i have to listen to other people or have more scrolling text on my screen. i already hear them via direct chat radio & my own team we use teamspeak/ventrilo. i'm not super opposed to this going in the game, i just would never use it.

    i also did this. you should check out the real arma II game though, its pretty decent. plus you can use tools like the simulator to get proficient at driving cars, motorcycles, ATVs, helicopters, etc before you find your first one so you avoid crashes.

    i think your situation is unfortunate, but it is your fault for logging out at a high profile place. that's just a bad idea.

    its all in where you look bud. use the map everyone is linking, you'll find weapons after 5-10 minutes looking in the right spot. personally i think it is kind of dumb to not provide any in game map when you spawn, since everyone just goes and pulls up the dayzdb map anyways. not only can they figure out where they are, but where all the good loot spawns.

    i've had it happen sadly yeah. could be an intermittent bug. could also be you quit before sync to hive happened. not sure if this bug is still around, but it used to be that if you tried to put a primary into your backpack, and say had 9 slots free instead of 10, it would disappear.

    you should be ok. graphics might be a bit choppy, just crank em down. also some servers seem to have some wacky settings that screw up FPS, so don't be afraid to hop around til you find a good one.

    sounds like you may have exited the game prior to syncing with the hive. if you have a desync warning (red broken chain) don't close your client. wait til it goes away, then to be safe wait a couple more minutes.

    this could be a couple things. * perhaps you are server hopping to fast * changing servers while a de-sync warning is up may cause this * dayZ bugs alpha stage mods are difficult at times. yesterday i got 'teleported' on login to the cherno shore with all my gear, which was quite the long walk back to my camp around gorka.

    the easiest way is likely to use something like six launcher that does the updates automatically for you. be aware though sometimes it goofs up and doesn't update your armaII patch to the latest. but your an download the latest beta patches yourself from the arma II website.

    lots of people find them and move them out of the default location to pickup later. i usually find them behind trees in the general area of where they should spawn. that doesn't bother me nearly as much though as the tards that come through town on restarts and grab all the tents out of the supermarkets, set them up outside so nobody can use them, and hide the packs. sometimes they even hide basic packs like the Czech pack. dumb.
