    Alright, I understand where you're coming from. But this is the mod though and it's free for us (not including the game itself) There's nothing wrong with having some shoutouts in the mod to the moderators who dedicate their time to this forum, I guess it could be done in a different way, not everyone has to have their names on food and drinks. I doubt this will be in the real game anyway, so I don't think everyone should worry too much right now.

    I think everyone should chill about the food and crap, take a step back and think about it. Are the labels really that much of an immersion breaker? Over all the things you choose to call "Immersion breaker" you choose labels. What about the zombies walking through stuff? Or how about the zombies hitting through walls, or the fact that the hackers have the ability to turn themselves into animals and talk like a human being. Seriously guys, it's not that big of a deal compared to the other things and I see no reason why everyone should begin being hateful and unreasonable. Just let it go, it's not worth the frustration and anger...

    Um. I think I screwed something up... Sorry for the double post, I can't delete my old one. @Elvaron: I figured as much with the sight radius, but I think they're okay anyway. As for the arrows, how about we have two types. The one already added in - One hit kill on any part of the body, which has a 20% chance of breaking: Arrow (Iron Tipped) Then the one being craftable - Headshot for a one hit kill, and two body shots for a kill. Along with a 20% chance to break, and a chance for the tip to go blunt: Arrow (Wooden Tipped) The blunt tipped ones could still be usable as well, but it'd require two to the head to take down a zed, or 3-4 on the body with a high chance of the arrow breaking: Arrow (Blunt) Maybe add the bolts back in for variety, but make them slightly rarer to find than the regular iron tipped arrow. EDIT: And to make it so the crafting isn't abused, you could give the knife durability. But I'm not sure about that or if it's even possible... My knowledge on the arma 2 engine is lacking.

    I've been testing the zeds a bit and they've really been improved. Here's some suggestions for a little more improvement: Their sight seems to be a bit derpy, they don't seem to spot me all that well when I walk near in front of them. Is there anyway to increase their sight width and height radius to a 160*? I don't know how they're coded or whatever but their sight radius seems to be a bit low and slightly insensitive. I think you should increase the sound range of weapons by 1/3. Weapons that should be heard by half of the town aren't being heard right. Really loving the zeds in the woods and the crossbow quiver. Any plans on making those arrows craftable? Like a pile of logs + feathers from a chicken with a knife in the inventory = Arrows? Something like that would be cool.

    How zombies should work.

    The infected are alright now, they're more of a threat rather than an annoyance unlike how they were before. Maybe a few changes like: They could have heightened senses than the normal human. They don't have to necessarily charge to everything they hear, but how about they do a quick walk to investigate the noise and change to a full on sprint when they know it's a human. I think it can be done if they take into account of what they see, what noise it is, and how loud it is. I'm not sure if this is in the current patch, forgive me if I'm wrong but the aggro should attract more infected to the chase, almost like they call them to help catch them, with all the noise they make when screaming, it'd be no surprise that more of them follow. I suggest increasing the number just a little bit, not by much though. It'll be difficult, yes, but this is a survival game. I want the encounters to be a desperate fight for your life. That's what DayZ is, survival of the fittest. I want to see players shooting other players not just because "my gun is bigger than yours" or "Shiny beanz bro" I also want to see them shoot others just so the infected can stop to eat the body and give you that much more time to get away.

    A stage for me to play on so I can command the infected with the power of rock to their demise. But4srs. A carnival, those are always creepy when they're abandoned.

    They're actually infected with a virus, not undead (correct me if I'm wrong). If you've seen 28 days later, you'd get the feel of DayZ better I suppose. The infected in 28 Days Later are persistent as hell, they're fast. They're enraged, they won't stop to get you and it's always a desperate fight for your life to survive. That's what DayZ is, survival of the fittest. I want to see players shooting other players not just because "my gun is bigger than yours" I want to see them shoot others just so the infected can stop to eat the body and give you that much more time to get away. I hope you see where I'm coming from when I say the Zeds now are almost perfect. I believe they're meant to have heightened senses than the normal human, but I guess it's okay to decrease the hearing range but maybe increase the view range maybe so they investigate and not run. Maybe investigating could be a slightly quicker walk, then when they know someones there, they pick up speed to a full sprint.

  13. How about instead of you controlling your reanimated body, it should be controlled by AI. That way it can help stop the "Die. Respawn. Grab old gear" thing along with more diseases added to it. It'd be interesting to see a guy you recently met at the supermarket a few hours ago, shambling on with the rest of the undead at some other place. Then you could remove death messages as well. To confirm someones death you look for a body with bullet holes, or the one who joined the horde.

    This idea would also help the "Die. Respawn. Get old gear back" thing. Once you die, your zombie body is probably roaming around somewhere else, also the gear is probably infected even more. It'd be best to start fresh then.

    How about, when you're infected, you eventually die and the body reanimates on the spot. But you don't control it. You've already respawned somewhere else, starting a new life. EDIT: Wouldn't it be cool/sad if you met one player, you have a friendly talk but he doesn't join you. An hour later, you find him shambling along with the rest of the dead...

    I can confirm that: Artifacts are gone for me Pistol ammo glitch is fixed (Not sure about the DMR to M24 ammo, someone said it wasn't) Bugs that I found so far is no loot spawning on choppers. Or maybe I didn't "aim" right at it, but I tried two downed Huey's and still couldn't access any loot menu. Good update DayZ Team, keep up the good work!

    Delta smoke is right, we should be a bit more respectful towards other people's ideas... Maybe instead of knight armor it can be body armor?
