Heres how the DZ:SA should/"will" work: First release "Alpha" will be 10-20 dollars. Not sure...but i assume it will totally be in that range. Most of this community will hop on board that train. We all love DayZ, rocket, bohemia and the concept. Next after features are added(but not everything) it will enter Beta to fix the bugs. I assume a $5-10 price point increase over the original Alpha($10-20). More people join via word of mouth/impulse buy. DZ:SA is "Finished"(seriosuly...they want to follow the Minecraft model and MC is still adding new shit to this day!) and again ramps up $5-10. At worst that is $40 but i cant see DZ:SA being above $35. Rocket and co arent money hungry assholes, and this is almost like his own kid. TL;DR. DZ:SA should/would be $10-20 in Alpha(best time to get it, supports devs and secures future), Beta is $5-10+ Alpha($15-30) and should buy if you havent "pulled the trigger yet", Final/Release is $5-10+ Beta($20-40) and you still should buy because we all know you wasted money on WarZ or some shitty game on steam that you never play. Moral of the story....honestly....just wait. It seems liek you are conflicted abou what to do which means you DO NOT WANT A2/DZ. I promise my nutsack that DayZ Standalone (ALPHA) will be less than $25. My guess is 20/30/49.99 prices. That 49.99 and the middle price point IMO depend on the success of DayZ:SA. Perhaps even a 15/20/30 model. I promise you could buy CO and DZ:SA for less than 59.99 But if its a choice between DZ:SA or A2/DZM...just wait. DZM isnt horrible but you will eventually tire of the bs. My advice...like I said. If you LITERALLY mean ONE or the OTHER. Go and be patient my son...wait for the Standalone. The Mod is handed over to the community and while in the long run it may end up outlasting/outshining the standalone...in the immediate to near future..the standalone is where this community will end up.

Whoever told you DayZ Standaloen will be 40-60 bucks is an idiot. I am going to say that if you get into DZ:SA early..it will not cost you more than 20 bucks, which will get you access to the entire game after its development process. Please remember A2 != DayZ and DayZ != Arma2. Arma is its own game and for 15 dollars you can get numerous mods, including DayZ, that kick ass. Then 20 for DZ:SA...you still paid less than some "AAA title" that sucks balls. PS my guess for a SA release date is goign to be late Feb early March. ANd I hope it takes that long. I wand the DZ:SA to be equal to or farther developed than the mod. And if it takes longer so be it. I have been waiting for a TOOL album for years now.

IIRC Arma2(including DayZ) is rather CPU dependent. I play DayZ with no AA on 1920x1080 using AMD Phenom II x4 955(3.2gb) 4gb DDR2 RAM and a GTX 460 768mb. You may run DayZ but may be unhappy at certain moments. Barely passing the canyorunit is like saying I got a D+ on the BAR exam, will I be a good lawyer. Its possible, but chances are its going to be a bumpy ass ride.

A3 will be buggy. Lets just be real here. Id say get used the the wonkiness in a "stable" release of the game. A2 has some amazing game modes/mods/tweaks/plugins/replayability. I paid $30 Steam to get A2(for DayZ) but found Insurgency, and Domination modes. So much fun. If you want DayZ standaloneor Arma3...then wait. If you want to have fun with some cool shit(thats relatively cheap lately) get A2:CO and just have some fun. For te record I personally plan on getting DZ:SA and A3.

Do you 3rd party software(DayZCommander, Sixwhatever)? Do you use Steam? Have you repaired/verified integrity of game cache? Have you been banned? Is it public or private hive? Have you the most recent BETA version of Arma2(or the version concurrent with the server you want to play on)? Updated drivers? Uninstall/reinstall of the mod assets? DayZ or @DayZ enabled in the "extensions" tab on Arma?

Man this is tough. From what I see DayZ.ST is sold out of servers ATM. All of them say Coming Soon. Vilayer takes at LEAST 24 hours and has no mention of what is available once you purchase it.

Perhaps grab CCleaner and clean your registry. Run a spyware/virus scan. Disable any rnning startup programs that are useless. I personally heard Vilayer was good. Bunch of private hive server that are "connected" if wanted. Not sure about the other ones so I am not sure. Take the deal. Nothing says you cant backup all your server files and move to another host if necessary.

Public Hive = Server with persistent stats and inventory across ALL servers that run on the Public Hive Private Hive = Server that hosts its own database results for stats and inventory. These private hives differ from SERVER TO SERVER. Say server X,Y,Z are Public Hive servers. Your weapons, items and stats will remain the same regardless of which server you choose. Now server A,B,C are Private Hive servers. Playing on server A will only save your stats etc on server A. Going to server B will make it appear that you are "Starting over". Same thing if you went to server C. EDIT: Granted there are Private hives that are connected like Timmy said. Condsider them to be servers Da Db Dc and they act like Public Hive servers, but only within their own Private Hive group. I hope that helps clarify a bit. Use the "Favorite Server" option on DayZCommander to keep tabs on your favorite servers.

If you are an admin of a private hive server perhaps it is possible to delete or reset your character data so that you respawn fresh on the coast.

Yes...stop using 3 keys to play DayZ. Like seriously...what reason do you have for having 3 CDkeys, aside from abusing the game? Ones a Bandit, ones a Hero? Maybe you just humanity boost with all three? Dup items? Seriously...thes best way to simplify this is to just use one key. I guess after switchign keys in registry or whatever the fuck you have to do for this shit...try to verify files.
