When connecting to servers you will see both the Mod Version (DAYZ) and the Arma2 Beta Version that the server is running. Example : DAYZ Version in Green/Arma2 Beta version Red DayZ - DE 795 (v1.7.2.4/Beta 95417) [REGULAR|3DP:ON|CH:ON][GMT-6] dayzmod.com - MarVin I believe that you need to be running the same version of the Arma2 Beta Patch as the server or a newer version in order to avoid being kicked for "Bad Version". Some of the Programs such as Six Launcher may update your Arma2 Beta Patch if you run Six Updater, I don't know how DAYZ Commander works. If you have to manually install a different Beta Version you will need to go here .... http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/ Depending on how you launch the game you may have to make some changes with the new files after you upgrade. Normally when steam launches it will use the main "arma2oa.exe" located in your default directory (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead), This is why it is very important to follow these next steps exactly. Visit http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/ and download the latest patch (green box, .zip). Once this is complete open it up and run the .exe found inside. Then, open the beta folder found in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta. Copy the "arma2oa.exe" from here and paste it back into your main directory (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead). You will be replacing the old one. Now open your Steam library and right click on Operation Arrowhead. Find the Properties option and open "Set Launch Options." Paste this: -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash -mod=@Dayz into the text field and click Ok. To launch DayZ: Run Operation Arrowhead through Steam and when given the option, choose to run the game as Combined Operations (this is mandatory and must be done every start up!). You probably have an older arma2 beta version. Probably not anything wrong with the steam files, you can go here and d/l and install the latest beta version if that's the issue. Try Turning off AMD Cool'n'Quiet in the Bios and check power saving features in windows and nvidia control panel to see if it may be underclocking your processor/vid card to save power?

thats an older post you have aversion of the Beta that doesn't match the Beta version the server is running i think. You can see the servers though for Dayz through the game? I believe the latest arma beta patch is ARMA2_OA_Build_95417.zip , from this page.... http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/ The server you connect to needs to be running the same version. If you can see the servers from the multiplayer option in game it will display what version it is running in the server name most times.

IF other games run flawlessly with no crashes it shouldn't be anything hardware related temp/bios settings .... If thats the case I would try to remove Arma from steam/uninstall and reinstall. and run both the games once on steam before installing six launcher. If from Steam also try to Right click on ARMA 2 and click properties and local files and then go to verify game integrity, do this for ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead

I know it may not be easy on your computer but download a free version of fraps and check to see your FPS have or haven't changed in game with the startup parameters enabled/ disabled.

Check any temperature readings for your hardware to eliminate the possibility of overheating and double check the Bios to make sure settings haven't changed. Other games still run ok?
