Alright, I know that there's a LOT of HUD suggestions out there, and there may or may not be a suggestion similar to this one, and I apologize in advance if there is. The idea that I had is one that I have seen in a few games, although no names come to mind. It involves completely removing the system for blood, temperature, hunger, and thirst. The debug monitor would still stay (relatively) the same, with the removal of the blood tracker. This suggestion makes the game more realistic, without breaking it in any way. The game would prompt you on-screen when your character "felt" something (for lack of a better term). The prompt would be similar to, say, when you refill a jerry-can or water bottle. Small white text would flash across the upper center of your screen. If you were hungry, you may get a message like "Your stomach starts rumbling." or "You start feeling a bit peckish." The aim of this system would be that it would not show the same message every time, but rather draw randomly from a bank of messages for every status. Furthermore, when a status grew more severe, you would start getting more severe text-symptoms. Something as little as a belly rumble could soon turn into "Your stomach groans, yet again, and you feel a bit faint." This could signify that you are at the point that your blood is going to start dropping soon. When your blood dropped to certain levels, you would get messages about feeling faint, woozy, etc. (I myself am not familiar with the symptoms of limited/moderate/severe blood loss). You would also get status messages about being in pain (need to take painkillers) and, more obviously, broken legs (need to take morphine). The simplicity of this modification of the HUD is why I decided to make an actual thread about it. This addition to the game would make you pay more attention to the health of your character, and make attaining medical supplies, food, and drinks much more important (due to the indirect way that your character's status is transmitted to you). I'm not going to go in-depth with what the symptom messages for everything could/would be, when the messages would pop for everything, etc. because this is indeed still a suggestion topic that doesn't exactly have the BEST chances of being put into the game (with over 17,000 suggestion threads already added). Thanks again for reading, nonetheless  TL;DR - Don't you have something better you could be doing?
