Red lens military flashlight = win by the way though, if you ever come across one (they also have a chance to spawn anywhere that spawns military stuff). -

You obviously know nothing about how the lighting system in this game works, nor what the beta Arma 2 patches have been doing to the lighting system. If you want to complain about the lighting system, go to the BI forums and complain. Again, the DayZ staff has nothing to do with it. @Reinofragin: There's two weapons currently in DayZ that have flashlights. The Glock 17 and the M4A3 CCO. They don't provide nearly as much light it seems as the handheld flashlights, but they provide enough light for what is needed. Both can be potentially found at any area that spawns military weapons (medical tent camps, deer stands, etc). -

I'm still loving how people think the darkness like this is from the DayZ staff. The DayZ staff has NOTHING to do with this, this has everything to do with BI's staff and what they think is "right". -
Again, like others have said, seems 90% of the complaints about zombies would be solved specifically by getting a suppressed weapon. They're not hard to find. Also like others have said already, and Rocket has said so himself, there will be a hotfix. People need to learn to spend an hour of reading before they go and complain about things that have already been complained about and/or addressed already. Bring something new to the table that every other page doesn't have.

About adding flashlights to weapons, I think people forget about the G17 and the M4A3 CCO having flashlights on them. I mean, too bad you can't find a roll of duct tape and tape on the regular yellow civilian flashlight, or the military flashlight with the red lens. That'd be kinda badass if you could do something like that, but, who knows if that's even possible with this engine.

Yeah, my two cases were from using a camo skin, not from combat. The Ghillie suit didn't do that to me, but the other skin did.

Came across two of them the one night after being shot in the face by a Winchester. Second one I found had the suit laying right next to it. I've gone weeks without seeing a crashed helicopter before, but it seems when I find them, I find multiples.

The only Ghillie suit I've found, was at a crashed helicopter.

Okay, this thread has been confusing the hell out of me. :s I miss my Vector Binoculars though. :-/

Didn't know a server can run without binoculars enabled. I run on a server that has no name tags (which means it won't show distance to whatever you're looking at without the Vector Binocs), no waypoints, no crosshairs, and no third person. The Vector Binoculars will always give you range to target.

None of us could hear anybody coughing when standing up next to them. Including somebody that gave me a blood transfusion. Like I said, 4-5 of us were sick at one time and none of us could hear any coughing. Before this 1.7 patch, we could hear the coughing, even your own character coughing, now, you cannot. At least not on US 10, we haven't tried any other servers.

The thing is though, with all with these problems, did you wait to see if it'd stop bleeding when you hit or are near 10,000 blood? Like I was saying before, it's a sickness, just with no sound effects for it, and seems very contagious. Either just have to wait out the sickness to go away (can take a day or more, sometimes less for some people I've seen) or take anti-biotics. Also, it's not a 22% chance to drop those I've seen, it's a 1.98% chance to drop, at least according to this: http://picacid.com/arma2/loot_en.html
