Yeah, I figured it was you guys. There really wasn't anyone else on the server. You guys gave us a scare coming into the building. I kept saying I'd drop some water and then we'd walk out the back, but you guys came in. We would have fired upon you guys if you were fully armed, but one of you was unarmed, plus, the other came in with his weapon lowered. I was more or less surprised out of anywhere, that's where we encountered each other. What dispute are you talking of? If you meant earlier in the day, that wasn't us, but I do believe we've had to shoot Seph at the NE airfield a week or so before, he shot at us. Our group is generally friendly, unless given a reason not to be. Like I said, we were there for the same reasons you were. Now to figure out if somebody stole our UAZ and returned it, or the server just ate the stuff inside of it. -
Oh yes, I totally cheated when I picked up my M107 at Stary Sober... Just because somebody has a rare weapon or rare equipment doesn't mean they cheated. I do hope they fix the item duplicating though. They've already been working on the ammo duplication within the inventory, hopefully next thing will be item duplication from tents and vehicles. All they really need to do is make the tent or vehicle save any time you look into it and/or add/remove items from it. Problem solved.

I've had an M107 for the past three days and still haven't shot somebody with it. I don't get why the M107 and AS50 seem to equal bandit weapons for you. Sure, I'd love to blast out an engine block on a car or blast somebody with it, but I'm not going to unless I am provoked to do so. Then when that time comes, they better pray that I miss, or they kill me first.

They have a pretty low drop rate. I found one once in like a chicken coop and an apartment, but mainly have found the others in markets because of how many loot piles can spawn in a market. -

Server may have ate them for a little bit. We've lost all of our tents and vehicles once for two days on a Virginia server a while ago. It'll come back, or it might not. I know it took a little after the release of 1.7.1.5 for our tents to get wiped. -
What I've gotten out of it, since the server I play on had problems like this (not recently though). Is the fact data about your character gets corrupted when the server doesn't have a good connection to the Hive. This is why I'll only stick on a server I know is good.

Nope, same thing happens with barbed wire, sandbags, and tank traps. -
Actually, if you're not careful, doing so can really screw you up. Same with vaulting over it. Last time I tried doing so, I was knocked unconscious with 3,000 blood and bleeding from full blood, along with broken bones. I learned my lesson, either divert it, or cut the damn wire if I have a toolbox. Also, I've never seen the wire stop zombies, same with sandbags. They'll just warp right through it. As the person originally posted about it, I've only ever seen it used to make life "hard" when trying to loot stuff. Especially since even if you take it down, it'll just come back up when the server restarts, just like how the tents work, even if you pack them up.

Vehicle spawning locations tend to be random. The Wiki has it right for some spots, for others, they don't even have those locations on the Wiki. I'd rather it be this way. As it is now, if you blow up a car, it'll eventually spawn back where it was originally found/found and fixed. I'd rather it would spawn somewhere else randomly. Hopefully someday that can be implemented without having to wipe the vehicles off the map for a new set of spawn points. Those losing vehicles after server restarts, sometimes it comes back after another restart, sometimes it takes at least two days of restarts to get it back. This happened to my group at one point, all vehicles and tents disappeared for two days. -

If you're running the new patch/server is running the new patch, you won't find the tents unless somebody placed new tents. I can confirm they've been wiped. -
He got mostly headshots, I think he used a magazine and a half (since he missed a bit). It's weak if you're not aiming for vitals (heart/head), but it's main uses, like stated from others before, is the fact it has a flashlight on it. It's a great weapon at night, although, I refuse to carry it. I tend to get raped by players whenever I have one. :-/

The Glock 17 isn't that bad in a combat situation. We were ambushed at Stary once, three people made their way to overlook the military camp. They setup an AS50 sniper to shoot two of us in the camp. They shot one of us, I took cover. Our overwatch heard the shot, which was pretty much right next to him. He got up, shot and killed all three people with just the Glock.

No food where I've been either, did see an M107 spawn up in a military tent. Was pretty sure that couldn't happen, now apparently it does. :huh: Not complaining, I guess it's just time to get used to sniper rifles. :P

Has to do with the server you're on that shows players on the map... It'll show zombies and vehicles too.

Oh no, I understand that it's crazy dark out, but it's only crazy dark out when the moon isn't up, or it's very cloudy. Right now, the moon in game is set to a "new moon" cycle. It's going to be dark as hell until it's out of that phase. This has been the only time I've ever wish I've had NVG's. Right now, the only way to navigate it without throwing flares/using flashlights is by GPS. Also, not sure how me linking the thread about Rocket saying the new lighting changes has nothing to do with DayZ staff/mod is irrelevant. Again, if you have problems with what BI has done with the lighting, bring it up on their forums. -
