New server up. Looking for players. Rules (there aren't many): - 1st Person Only - Private Shard - Serious players only - MAX 10 players per clan for a total of 30 players whitelisted on the server. - Don't exploit. Period. I promise you...if you play the game like its supposed to be played, your DayZ adventure will be more rewarding. If you see new bloods exploiting, correct them and if they don't stop, report them. Be good stewards of the server. Proof of using exploits will result in a server lifetime ban. If the offender has friends who have any knowledge of the offense and didn't report it, bye bye friends....and new blood will be brought in. No hard feelings....just don't have time for those that exploit. - No TeamKilling (will result in one week ban if TKd player does not forgive you) - Teamspeak required. Non clan members won't be able to enter your channel, nor will they be able to see you in your channel. - Must obtain armband with team color and wear at all times. A player cannot wear the armbands of the wrong color. Doing so will result in one week ban. - Oldest player becomes the leader of the Clan and has power to name the Clan and to change Clan color. Clan allegiance is not required, but no voice comms allowed outside of game communication with opposing Clans (no Teamspeak with other clans). - Switching teams can only occur after complete server reset and if slots are available. Clan leader at the given time has authority to reject newly assigned clan members. - No bitching to the Server Admin. He isn't going to do anything for ya. Getting screwed in DayZ is a part of DayZ. Once you accept that, you'll have more fun. - All else goes. Have fun! Shoot me a message and we'll work out the whitelisting and TS3 access. I'll need your player guid to get you whitelisted. Hoping to attract cool players for the long-term. Thanks. CURRENT ROSTER: BLUE: TrEuDaT Flava LeonRedbone RED: Der Teurfel Deathstryker ORANGE: None

RIP GB Wireworld Server - it was a lot fun.....

Wow, my findings thus far on Mac's new server... Day 0: I spawned just west of Electro and not 50m from me, sitting quietly on the front steps of a random house, was some camo. Nice! Off to a good start. Ran into Electro and I immediately felt the pressure of what seemed liked infinite zombies breathing down my neck. BAM...infected on hit 4. I fortunately remembered that Mac said he was going fix the antibiotics issue with hospitals so I decided to test it out. Test #1 = pass. Found 2 antibiotics in the hospital and proceeded to get myself back up and running. After a decent loot run in Electro, I ran west to Cherno in desperate need of the some key, essential gear. I came across a new item I had not seen before in the military tents near the east hospital....a Makorov SD WITH SD clips!. Proceeded through the high residentials with a good amount of success.....all the while fearing the zombies like never before. Knowing full well getting infected sucks ass, I was much more cautious as I headed to the grocery store where my 2nd test of Mac's changes passed with flying colors. There was food in the grocery store and NEW food as well. Milk, pistachios, cans of stew, etc. Also seems like there is many more types of soda. Anyway, ran north to find some guns because I know that the server is soon to have bandits who will kill me on sight. Ran into Zub castle and jackpot. Found a DMR! Woot, woot! Continued north and I heard the faint sounds of a chopper growing louder. I looked east and there it was. It flew overhead. I looked up, praying to the Gods, "Crash, Crash, Crash!".....and all of a sudden my prayers were answered. It exploded violently in mid air and landed, I'd say 800 meters on an adjacent hill. I anxiously ran towards the crash and as I drew near, I saw several dead circling the crash site. I decided to take them out from afar and I was successful in doing so with my nice and shiny new DMR. Unfortunately, I failed to see the random zombie who came from the woods behind me and it clobbered me unconscious. I was full health and within seconds, down to nearly zero. After regaining consciousness, I nervously fumbled around trying to reload and failed to kill the Zed before I fell unconscious again. Chomp, chomp....Fortunately, on the next revive, I took the zombie out, ran by the heli crash, found a British assault backpack, and limped away into the woods. I have no idea what I got down to, but it had to have been less than 500 blood. Since, I'm a full blown hunter trying to get my health back. Anyways, so far it has been extremely fun. I like the following... 1. Risk = Reward 2. I cringe at even getting touched by a zombie 3. Fresh server. It is an untouched frontier. I suggest joining soon and claiming your little piece of Chernarus paradise. 4. I haven't seen one vehicle yet. I think there are 10 on the server, but to me, that is going to make vehicles highly sought after. Mac's got a winner here. -

If it works, I would say simply incredible! Rocket should pay Ward because it is a game changer. Adds longevity. Freaking awesome Ward. Kudos brother. You just proved full time, dedicated coders that it can be done. -

I agree that 50/50 is too much. 10 to 20 percent sounds like it's hard enough, but not so hard that you can't play on your own. -
Looking for a finite # of new members...

Simply is the best server I've played on. The server owner has ties to the DayZ team and is doing his best to employ the latest and greatest versions so we can test newly implemented features. If you are interested, take a look at this link and follow the instructions to join. Be warned that it may take some time to get whitelisted due to the server owner, Mac, undergoing some medical treatment. But it will be well worth the time waiting. The skinny on the server is most of the activity occurs during the day with quiet nights. I play mostly at night because I live in the US. It would be great to have higher numbers during this time. And don't bother applying if you don't play legitimately. The server community will weed you out very quickly and you will be banned. Thanks. http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/91062-gb-wireworld-177-official-dayz-pre-release-public-server-whitelist-only-all-welcome/ -

Mac, I personally like what you are trying to create. A zombie survival sim. Simple. The backpack/ammo exploit is BS and its a game changer. If I can put ammo in my backpack, quickly abort and rejoin without even having to leave the server, and get all my ammo back.....it makes looting almost irrelevant once you get the magazines. I don't agree with Infy in that this is a bad fix. You will GAIN players in the long run. Yes, you may lose some players who only play for PVP and don't want to consider the conservation of expendables like ammo....but everyone knows its BS. With the backpack/ammo fix, it changes the game to what the game was intended to be. It makes looting important. It makes your finds important. I will say that to be effective, the loot must be fixed too. The crafting BS and the items that spawn as a result needs to be removed. Those items only take up opportunites for good, useful items to spawn. My two cents. -

sup chopper...hope you are doing well buddy. All you have to do is download the rar file and then extract the two folders (@Dayz, Keys) into your arma 2 operation arrowhead folder. You will have existing folders and you will be asked if its ok to overwrite existing files. You will have to say yes for a successful install. If you play other DayZ servers, you'll notice in DayZ Commander that your DayZ mod is "corrupt". Simply hit repair if you want to go back to playing other servers and repeat my instructions to come back to Wireworld.... Pain in the butt? Kinda, but Wireworld is headed in a direction that will make it well worth it. -

Irrelevant? Maybe to you buddy. Definition of a 'cock sucker'. And by the way 'cock sucker', although reinstated a couple months ago which was absolutely the right decision, I haven't played but maybe a couple hours on the server. This completely smashes your retarded accusation of brown nosing. I have no incentive to brown nose. I don't play, thus I need no favors. I don't play as much because Mac reminded me that "life" is much more important. I suggest you get one. Over and out. No further responses from me. Again, my apologies Mac. I couldn't help myself. -

Hey Ohgreen, Why don't you quit your GD whining? Guess what buddy? While you been prancing around for the last 7 months on Mac's server being critical of every GD thing about THEN posting all of it on these forums, Mac discovered he has a potentially life threatening illness and has underwent an extremely painful operation that he is probably still feeling the effects of. If I were you, I would say..."Mac, thanks man. I really appreciate all you've done for the server and giving me a place to play for 7 months. I don't have one bad thing to say because I understand there are things in life that are much more important than Zombie sims. Although I'll be leaving soon, don't worry about giving me the refund for this month because your investment in the server has been so much greater than mine." Oh, thats right! You havent given a fucking dime. I understand you care about the server, but take a step back motherfucker and look at the situation. You aint helpin so STFU! Mac, I apologize in advance for the profanity. Couldn't help myself. -

Anti...you sound discouraged. To be honest with you, I understand how you feel. Where is the anticipation that we once felt when it came to getting on to the server to see what has changed since you last played? Well, there are certain reasons the excitement is a bit stagnant. 1. Too much drama. 2. Too little trust in the admins. 3. The lack of players on our server who have forgotten why DayZ is so cool. I certainly have my thoughts on what things can be done to improve the situation. But as you so eloquently put in one of your previous posts, we really don't have a dog in the hunt. Mac and crew make the best decisions they can based on the current they have at the time. I think they do an excellent job given the time they have available to monitor the server... I would say they are very fair. Are there holes to be exploited? Yes, of course. With that said, what has made Mac's server so fun to play has been the individual player. You and me for example. It is up to us, we who have been given Mac's trust to play righteously.....the way the game is meant to be played. There are written rules and there are unwritten rules. We all know them by now. We should all follow them. Each time you exploit something in the game to gain an advantage, you cheapen the server. Each and every time. Fundamentally, what has made Mac's server so fun to play are the people who occupy the Wireworld Chernarus. With the gangs of whiners and recent mishaps, which were probably just coincidental, the landscape's color and fun has been sucked dry. Wireworld, just like Austin Powers, may have lost its mojo. Time for a new era on Wireworld. An era of righteousness & fair play.....where the survivor rules...and the bandit is forced to the heal of our righteous boot. ***ENVISION I LOOK LIKE MEL GIBSON WITH LONG HAIR AND BLUE, STRIPED PAINT ON MY FACE.... I also recommend you edit your post and remove your GUID. People out there that will steal it and then you are screwed later.
