I fully understand why they chose to use it, basically because of the map size but you have to admit there are some extremely wonky characteristics to the engine. Case in point: The inventory of pain.

I'm not going to waste my time attempting to explain my position or let developers see posts that have a wavering opinion of certain aspects of the game to those who wouldn't even acknowledge it. Keep in mind, that backfired for pretty much everyone in this thread who attempted that, now that said I'm happy to engage someone in an intelligent manner but what's the point when I can just say FRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT (which I personally find hilarious) Numerous times I've said the game/concept is great, it just needs to be hammered out and unfortunately the retards need to be kept at bay with pungee sticks.

This is a mod and an extremely buggy one at that. Then factoring in the engine used to create the mod.....I'd suggest just putting up with the sound quality as of now and waiting for things to develop.

I will patronize you, seeing as you came off extremely condescending and one who enjoys huffing their own flatulence (not that I have anything against that ;D ) While you're citing larger titles, the difference is those titles had and always will have major support. I've personally seen VERY little hacking, even in the olden days of 1.3 and typically there was an admin there to fix the situation. The issue is with Day Z it's more of a rampant thing and done in a group, which unless you're on a server that is monitored is pretty game breaking. Now, I'm not even really going to go into the fact that the load times for the MOD itself make the prospect of server hopping to be well.....not a very bright one.

There is a certain suspension of disbelief in this crowd, eh? Now, let me spell it out for you. The hacking is game breaking, I mean at no point have I ever seen a game where "hacking" constitutes having a player on a server basically behave like a tear faced admin. That is game breaking, I hate to tell you this but it is. While I'm sure tons of other people have romped around and eating their beans in peace from various dorkus marlorkus', I've just been running into a community of dudes who attack and DC before death. See the thing is....the concept of the game is really cool. I mean, on paper is sounds fairly boring but it is pretty interesting when playing. The engine being a wonky pile of trash can be tolerated just under the pretense that the MOD itself is interesting. However, the hacking and miserable community is just...ugh. To be fair, I have run into people who were fun to run around with and were sociable people but I would say that's at around 40/60. 40% being people who enjoy playing the game and aren't server hopping for gear.

While I'd be totally into that idea, my experience thus far has been dealing with very upset Russian children and I don't think I've run into an actual clan as of yet. Suggest one and I'll play.

Getting lots of artifacting in the same areas that people are having issues. Aside from that, a sudden loss of FPS. Then again, this game does look like pure garbage and runs about the same.
