The fact that an overweight male in his twenties is lording over a server and expelling his pent up aggression out of the world via the only form of media that he can, which in this case is the internet. The zombies do post a great thread but not what you'd initially think. See, you have to deal with their horrendous pathing, their inexplicable bursts in speed and teleporting and to really top it off, the absolutely abysmal failure that is called hit detection. Whether that's a server issue or an engine issue, who knows but it is MISERABLE.

When you have a community that is this apathetic to the issue and have somehow taken this extremely neative aspect of a situation and applied it to their grand sense of elitism, you have an issue. I say nuke this mod all together and use an engine that isn't the equivalent to a dog farting into a fan. The ARMA engine might allow for huge maps to be run, which is the only positive I can see but how ARMA as a whole works is the most wonky, awful fucking thing on planet.

As much as I'd like to say it's more of an isolated thing....it isn't. I've been on servers and had to quickly DC to get out of killboxes at least 10 times now and I've owned this game for a week. Been nuked countless times. The issues with the game are numerous and tedious, painful to even deal with at times. The thing is, we all can look paste that. Hacking? No. I do find it funny when people bring up the early days of Counterstrike in regards to hacking. Sure, it happened but it was NOWHERE on the level that this is on. You're also comparing an independent mod to a fucking company called VALVE that has managed to make one of the most secure networks around. Yes, they've had issues but is it anywhere as bad as arma?

Don't say BETA in these parts, they'll jump on you for not saying ALPHA. Let's be honest, none of these people know the difference anyway and with an independent mod such as this, one working on a scale such as this...the terms ALPHA/BETA don't even apply. The game is functioning and unless you're twelve, you can't really expect a MOD to run like a tip top retail release, however you can put some faith that they'll take concern with seriously game breaking issues such as hacking that is so wide spread you can't even play on full servers. The logic that flows from the messageboard is mind blowing. If ANYONE makes a thread with their disapproval of literally any aspect of the game, they're immediately jumped on. The strange thing is, how do you think developers prioritize issues? They see the outcry of their players and respond accordingly. The community should be working together to rid itself of the most obvious and game breaking flaw, which of course is hacking. The fact that 80% of you people just wig out when anyone speaks out about it speaks volumes for you chromosome deficient dorks.

This literally just happened to me, walking along and then instantly died.

After putting several days into this mod, which by the way was very promising and fun at first, I've realized that it's crippled by the community. This would be the second time that I've had issues with "hackers" and basically being teleported into a kill coral and having my items stolen. The concept of the game is great, the game itself? Well, aside from being the most buggy thing on the planet using hands down the worst engine of all time is great. The problem you say? Well, the problem is the miserable fucking community that inhabits it. I'm simply tired of running into hackers and assholes in this game. So to the trash bin with this garbage pile.
