Totally lost any faith I had in Rocket/dev team
Lord Fartus replied to TheMachine's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Don't come on this forum and use your basic logic here! Why wouldn't people who have better things to do than play Hiking Simulator 98 want to spawn on the coast, run towards something that MIGHT be interesting and find it to be a wild kaleidoscopic? -

You really like to throw your worthless child like opinions around. At what point will you drooling fucking retards stop saying "it's an alpha" and realize that "testing" is done in a far more closed and secure level than this. There are apparently (though doubtful) over a million players. That isn't an alpha, that has the client base of a full fledged fucking release. Call it an alpha or pull the whole free mod thing but little 70% of the people playing this game got it because of the mod, not ARMA. Now will you just go be a fat fucking retard elsewhere? -

I like these posts, almost as I like how little the developer interacts with the board and the mods only come out to quell petty arguments. -
(Rocket) Why are we logging in on the coast
Lord Fartus replied to Siggy (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Yes, unplayable for "us" and apparently countless other people. I'm sorry if I'm going out on a limb here and stating the most blatantly obvious fucking things around but this is a hilariously bad idea. The proper way to stop server hopping would have been to allow time limits set between each server jump. For the average player, instability in servers is probably why they don't have a "home" server or the fact that they don't abide by a clan or have any reason to stick to one server. The result is a developer implemented change that literally panders to someone who is a troll and hacking, I mean what better way than to harass people than just know where they'll spawn? Lots of you people bring up that it's a "mod" and I've seen plenty of mods go through their paces before. Mods work on the pretense of working directly with the community, the community feeds information back to the developers and they tend to work with the problems at hand. The difference, the community is negative, vicious and for lack of a better comparison, clueless arm flailing fucking man-children. Yes, it's a mod. A mod with SERIOUS issues that the developer(s) should be working on, which WE should be talking about. In short, smoke farts. -
The Zeds just kept coming at me...

You may have heard of these things known as humor or sarcasm. Look into it. -
Stuck at loading for everything but 1.7.5 servers.
Lord Fartus replied to Muncywolverine's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Yeah, I'm having the exact opposite issue. I loaded into one 1.7.5 server the rest will just sit at the loading screen for an indeterminate amount of time. -
Is anyone else having this issue?
-
At first I just thought other players were being sketchy and not responding but after meeting up with a friend, he wasn't able to see my text on any channel. Aside from the fact that channels or the concept of channels is just mind numbingly stupid.

Hiking Simulator 98 is now real. Prepare for walking.

Thoughts on Hotfix and Poeple's posts.

Oh hey, one of these threads. I wonder if you even know what QA is. The more people who respond, the greater the effect the issues is having. That's QA. Shut up. -

My absolute favorite part of the game. I also love how unstable the servers are, currently I'm about to be booted from a server for connection loss. Weird, this doesn't happen in any other game. wonky wonky wonky wonky wonk. -

You know what the best part of this is? I have to cycle through a few severs before finding one that isn't running like literal garbage. The greatest response I've seen on this forum from someone about abysmally slow load times and horrid ping was "it's an alpha, power through it", this mod is a god damn landmine marathon. -

Hold on a second, so this new update introduces yet another annoying and crippling feature to the game? One that Bandits will now openly exploit? Well, I for one am in shock that the devs haven't put time into fixing graphic issues, hacking, wonky gameplay, the worst engine of all time and carnivorous backpacks. That was sarcasm, I think it's hilarious that they just keep introducing more gamebreaking elements instead of fixing the monstrous problems that exist. -
I'm going to have to disagree with you on all points. The ARMA inventory is bad, just insanely bad. Not only is it buggy but the backpack feature has to be one of the least intuitive, awful, buggy things I've ever encountered. Your ingame backpack is sort of like a dryer, the same place where socks go to die apparently. Nobody knows where your rifle went, it's just gone. The inventory is bad, just flat out bad. Nobody should even be arguing this.

You again? Oh lord, you really don't give up. Remember when I made you look like a blubbering fool the other day? Do you honestly think that ARMA would even be relevant right now if it wasn't for this mod? -
Absolutely disappointing playerbase

You think the playerbase is bad? Try interacting with the mongoloids on this forum. -

Lord Fartus replied to [email protected]'s topic in Mod Announcements & Info
So Bohemia finally realized that the Day Z mod is the only reason that people were buying ARMA? Well, that's nice but even more it does explain why no updates have been done to the MOD. -
I have played those games and although I think that Bethesda is an absolutely worthless developer that took a giant dump on my favorite franchise while growing up, it's nowhere, i mean NOWHERE as bad as the ARMA engine. Buggy? Yes but is it functional and has it remained functional for a MUCH larger audience? Yes. The stresses for Fallout 3/New Vegas are far higher than ARMA. If you want to talk about bad inventory, lets talk about Fallout 1 and 2, even then....it wasn't 1/10th as bad and those games are more than a decade old

Wait, I just realized the hidden genius behind adding dogs. Not only do we get to deal with wonky zombies that teleport around furiously, now we'll get wonky dogs that teleport around furiously and will most likely cause more graphic issues. Great idea, great mod, perfect.
-
While this is probably one of the most straight forward and uncomplicated designs ever, you have to keep in mind that this is ARMA. The most wonky, broken and worthless game on the planet. Have you ever tried playing ARMA? I dare you, I literally fucking dare you to put 20 minutes into that game. Do it.
