I'd like to help counter snipe. I'm just getting into sniping in ARMA in general and find it satisfying when you wait for your target, and take one shot for the kill. However, I don't stumble across many sniper rifles in this game. But I'm still willing to join and be a spotter until I get a rifle.

At this moment in the game, I'm finding vehicles useless. I've been playing for three weeks and haven't came across ONE vehicle. I use the DayZ DB map so I know where the vehicles spawn. And if I'm ever in the area, I check. I hate walking all over the map. I've made multiple trips from the coast North to Stary Sobor so many times on foot and back its ridiculous. Just give me a bicycle, motorcycle, ATV. Something. If clans are just going to horde all the vehicles when the server is made, or hackers hide the vehicles, I find them useless. Its like a part of the game I'm not getting to experience. I've made it my mission just to vehicle hunt every life from now on.

Yeah. Its been updated. You don't spawn with any weapon or food/drink. You only get a flashlight, bandage, and painkillers. Good luck!

I know what you mean. I can only play on the weekend because I'm out of town all week for work. I play for 10+ hours Friday through Sunday.

I'm looking for a group of guys, 1-3, who play this game a lot on the weekend. I only have time to play this game on the weekend. And I play it hours at a time. Maybe like 10+ hours. So I'm looking for a group of guys that do the same. I've only been playing for a couple weeks, but I know what to do and what to look for. I play smart and tactical. My goal is to survive. And I'll do that no matter the cause. I'm a legit friendly. I will only shoot once shot at. I'll be home this Friday afternoon and will be ready to go. If you're interested, drop me a PM. I get 80 without recoding then it drops to 25 while recording. However, your FPS will drop at random. I had my FPS drop to 8 without FRAPS even being open.

I was reading a topic on how to read a map and try had travel time on there. They said you could cover 100m in 20 seconds. So you can cover 1km in 2 minutes. Don't know if that's legit.

Wish I could meet somebody like that in game.

It's a dog eat dog world. And as real as the game is, it amplifies the game that much.

My first encounter, and kill, was something like this. I made my way to Stary Sober to loot the military tents because I needed supplies. I came in through the East so started to hit the tents in that direction. The first tent I hit on the right had a AKM and three mags. I quickly put that in my pack as I had an AK with five mags. I came out of that tent and was going to the one directly next to it. As I did, I saw another figure. Wasn't a zombie. I was about to tell friendly but I was hit before going into the tent. There was no going back. It was a fight to the death for the supplies. I heard him run to a small stack of rocks behind the tent and came out to return fire. He started to shoot back. I reloaded and ran around to the right, his left. He was expecting me to come to his right as he was concentrated that way. I liked up my AK and shot as fast as I could (I use semi-auto for all weapons). He dropped dead. My heart was racing as I couldn't believe what I did. He was a bandit so I was able to rest easier. I'm not the type of person that shoots first. I would of gladly let him loot the tents of that meant keep my life. I had to fight for my life. Was an awesome small firefight. Just wish it didn't have to end that way.

It's a game. And gear is gear. If you're afraid to lose your gear stop playing because you're ruining it for yourself.
