I don't have to tell them to quit playing. They already did. Steam posts the numbers daily and the number is at around 6k per day peak. In JUNE that was like 70k. LOL. It's a fact dude, people already quit.

Hell I can get the actual predicted number for you if you would like. I have studied econometrics and I can poll my subs and I have a more than large enough base to give you a professional estimate if you would like. If you don't know what Econometrics is then watch the movie moneyball. Jonah Hills character? In fact I'd easily get over 1000 responses and that is enough to give you an estimate that would be super close to the actual population statistic.

I think the point is that people are comparing the fact of how other companies handle the people who represent them. This forum, dev team, rocket, and mod, whether they like it or not is the first link to Bohemia and the stand alone game since 99% of Arma players are here for Dayz and this forum and attitudes of dev team members, rocket, forum admins is a direct representation of the Company and the stand alone game. Outside of some youtube interviews with Rocket, 100% of my interaction with Bohemiaj and DayZ stand alone is here.

And I would say that nearly 80% or more people who purchased Arma to play Dayz is due to seeing a youtuber play the game and recommend it to others which is quite the opposite of where we are leaning now.

Making stuff up? You can visit the thread 1.7.2.5 patch that was locked after an admin said that Rocket might even enjoy giving you your updates if you ask nicely. That is what it says and what I wrote. And this is not a rant about fixing things. It's a post about the treatment of people who are looking for those fixes. Fixes that are expected due to posts that there will be continued support for the mod. And the post in the 1.7.2.5 patch directed toward other members of this community prompted me to write a post and speak out about it. So let's be clear here what this OP was all about. And you backed that up with a rant on how the individual is irrelevant. A not so popular stance with most of your community who just happen to be US players and individualism is pretty important here in case you have not noticed.

Yeah. I agree. Focus on the standalone. Fine. But don't tell us that your going to continue supporting the mod and then throw the attitudes they throw at us when people are wondering when they are going to do some simple hot fixes. Simply say, hey, we are not going to support the mod. It's over and people will quit asking. But for the admins to give us the attitudes of we don't need your money, you don't matter we got a million people now, Rocket hates giving you updates, and all this talking down to people is not acceptable to a lot of people. Steams peak numbers for Arma says a lot about what people think right now. I'm just voicing that in here. Not a good time to add fuel to the fire by telling people you don't need them.

Wow. The attitude I was talking about summed up in one paragraph. I think I'll share this response on my Youtube channel along with all the good things Ive said about the game. As well as share it with the hundreds of people that have bought the game due to my recommendations and videos raving about the game that you just described as crap. The point of this post was the attitudes of guys like you. Someone said that you guys are volunteers. Perhaps they should get some paid people in there with half of a mind about how to promote a game and take care of public relations. No this is me sharing my opinion of the attitude of this team of Dev's. And saying OK. That's who you think you are? Well show us big boy's. Drop the project. Stop all the stress. Get rid of us all. Go back to doing what you were and we will all go and play something else. Simple as that. The future consumers of their game want something and if I were them I wouldn't be whining about what they don't like to do when they stand to make the money that they do. This is really long but worth the read. I think everything you say is 100% on and is what dayz is. I have been screaming for months that the mid-level play to end game needed to be worked on, instead all the time has been spent on listening to newbs bean hunting in cherno and going back and forth with the mod and never improving upon what was a wonderful beginning to the game. It truly was awesome 3 months ago and it still isn't bad I would assume early on. But mid game late game is nothing but player killing and almost no worries about death. The lack of fear of death is the thing missing for me late game. Its not that I can't die, its just that if i do die it doesn't really bother me. You said this in the article. The mod has never at any point moved forward in my opinion. Adding wood is not moving a mod forward..You could actually argue that the game has went backwards and is worse now than it was ever in lots of ways. The only thing that has kept me going is the promise of something more and everyday my belief that the mod I imagined 3 months ago that would be here one day will ever be here at all.
