So there i was, Three days ago (July 24th) and i was playing Day Z after work in the morning as usual. Blew up with some friends in our newfound van we got on the airfeild. I get a timer icon on my screen that was taking 30 minutes to go about 2% of the way down. I figure ill die of thirst or starvation eventually because i stopped bleeding, couldnt log off or press escape for that matter from that screen. force closing the game and logging back in the game spawned me on the coast somewhere in or near cherno (i died in elektro) with the same long wait icon with 6K blood not going anywhere. So what did i do? left the game up for my character to die turned off my screen and went to bed, woke up, closed the game, shut the computer down. went to work for the night. Heres where it all started loaded the game as usual next morning to play connected to a server to be immediately kicked when i was in the lobby. The error at the time was Battle Eye, i spent a few minutes reading forums, not finding a solution i said fuck this game then. Next day same thing. Today i try for a third time to find a solution the error i was recieving was battle eye was trying to update to 1.166 and getting kicked before it could do so. I re-installed and replaced all the needed files. IT WORKS! version was validated and it STILL KICKS ME. the remaining error was exactly this: Battleye client server computed GUID: 5ff3b3292101db2397cb53b005759de8 So i went into steam for one last possible fix i found and verified the integrity of game cache in steam for arma 2 OA. NOW i get bad version errors before even getting to the lobby. so i re-installed battle eye and replaced files again. Same thing. Let it be known ive tried reverting day z. Uninstalling day z and re-installing it. Fixing/replacing needed files for battle eye. verifying patches, verifying updates, rebooting my computer, checking my ports, checking my internetz, cross checking updates to servers, reading seemingly every post on the forums, googling everything i can think of for solutions, Cursing at my computer, slamming my keyboard, tossing my mouse, and kicking my roomates cat. Nothing seems to work. In all seriousness i am CRAZY for day z, i watch videos all night at work and think of new strategies in my freetime. At this point im giving up unless someone has something for me. Please tell me im an idiot and i forgot something. PLEASE!
