GPS and all other tools take up a weapon slot. The small stash has no weapon slots and the big one only has one.

I've found a good 15+ GPSs since 1.8 launched. Maybe he was overstocked? xD

The Sa58, G36K and M15 ACOG aren't as powerful as the DMR though... That depends on the range, firing 3 shots before the first has registered will probably cause you to miss one or both follow up shots at anything further than 50m; making the M14 more effective because the first shot will have more than likely put the player down. I love the AKM because it's such an iconic weapon but in DayZ the M14 is the obvious choice.

Um... No? It's one of the most powerful weapons in the game. Also, the fact that it shares ammo with the DMR just makes it even better. I'd take an M14 over any AK or M4 variant any day of the week.

Laptops tend to degrade over time... Have you defragged your hard-drive lately? That would probably help a bit. Also, if you can clear out the air vents that might help too.

No idea, I don't play either of those games. I can tell you that it's a damn sight better than the laptop that you posted and would run DayZ at a playable level though.

If your hatchet runs out of ammo hit 1 to switch to your primary and then 3 to switch back to your hatchet. Should put you back up to 10,000 swings. :)

I'm not saying that the game will definitely not be released in October, I'm saying that no official source has stated that the game will be released in October. -
Does that error actually prevent you from playing? It's quite common to get those kind of errors, but you can usually just click okay and ignore them.

I ran Prime95 for a good 10 hours when I first overclocked. It's absolutely fine. :)

Are you using a German keyboard or something? I think your / might be in a different place, so it might not work for you. I'd try rebinding the controls to switch between channels and to type in your selected channel.

Tick the 'Hide wrong mod version' box on the left hand side. That should make life much easier.

Are you sure they're running the same mod version as you?

Try downloading the beta through Commander, I'm not sure how the Steam version of the mod works as I've never used it, but I would have thought that it uses ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead Beta whereas Commander just uses Operation Arrowhead with the additional beta files.

Have you run both ArmA II and ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead up to the main menu once each before installing DayZ? Have you installed the latest ArmA II beta version?

Will run high settings, no problem. The 660Ti would out perform the 7870 ever so slightly but I'm not sure that it's worth the extra cash. If you're going for an Nvidia card I'd recommend the GTX 7xx series cards or just going with AMD.

Should run okay on low-medum settings. The 5900 RPM hard-drive will slow things down though, so it's a bit hard to say.

Well if you have problems with anything tech wise in the future punching 'how to _____' in to Google is usually a good place to start, and will often save you hours of frustration.

It does make sense for there to be military weapons due to the airfields and whatnot, I just think there are currently too many and the high end weapons are way too common. I know people weren't happy with how rare a lot of things were in 1.7.7 but I think we've gone too far in the opposite direction.
