Were vehicles patched out of Dayz?

Check Guba. -
I commend your effort but the current skins in the mod have become almost iconic and are much higher res, texture-wise. I really can't see them being changed.
-
Build a desktop PC with a dedicated graphics card. That laptop is using an integrated graphics chip built in to the CPU, which is obviously not ideal for gaming.
-
It will just about run on low settings with low FPS.

50-70fps in ULTRA BF4, should I be fine for DayZ SA?
Mos1ey replied to Kastlefeer's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Should run medium settings okay, I wouldn't expect to be pushing much further than that. The processor is a bit slow but other than that you should be alright. -
Ah, yes, The awesome game optoimisation that thinks it knows better than I do. PlanetSide 2... Apparently I should be running maxed out with graphics detail set to low and render distance maxed out. That sounds about right. Honestly, you're better off just 'optimising' your games yourself.
-
Yeah, I'd have to agree. Nothing comes close to Fraps and Dxtory IMO.
-
No, it's not possible. You can edit your field of view in your ArmA2OA.cfg but it makes scopes slightly off target... http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/31609-ultimate-fov-field-of-view-guide-for-arma-2-and-dayz-from-dayzpvpcom/

Dayz Lagging no matter what fps 20-30
Mos1ey replied to bobrikav619's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Well have you defragmented it and checked for malware lately? -
Nvidia Experience is a waste of time IMO.

Do you have a slow hard-drive by any chance? -
I think he did probably mean the time it takes for a bullet to reach it's destination. Also, Letrollax is taking a week long vacation.
-
That depends on your budget and whether or not you plan on overclocking.
-
I would heed JasonUK's advice and use the money that you save with his adjustments to get a high-end i5 instead of the FX-8350 if possible. The 8350 would perform really well in games like Crysis 3 that are optimised for it, but an i5 will outperform it in pretty much everything else.

LoL and ArmA II are completely different kettles of fish, it's not even worth comparing. Yeah, by HT I mean hyperthreading. If you aren't sure what that is it essentially splits each core of your CPU into 2 logical cores per physical. It's great for things like heavy multitasking or video rendering but it's essentially useless for gaming. Once you're in your BIOS you should find the option to disable HT under CPU, performance or advanced. It depends on your motherboard unfortunately so I can't really be more specific. Just have a look around.
-
Have you tried disabling HT in your BIOS? Absolutely no chance you'll get ArmA II to use 8 cores, you'd be much better off running the 3770 as a quad.
-
It's really hard to say, sorry. The 3570k is a decent CPU, I have one myself, but you'll be bottlenecked horribly by the integrated graphics chip.
-
Yup, should run normal-high settings with 30+ FPS. Yeah, you'll run okay on low-medium settings on there. Yeah, it'll run on low on the intgrated graphics. You'll be able to just about max it out once you put the GTX 780 in there though.
-
That's a very low spec system all around. I'd look at building a new machine if you want to improve your performance in DayZ as well as other games.
-
I'm not sure what you mean? That's completely normal. In pretty much every game ever your FPS will shoot up if you look at the floor or sky because there's barely anything for your system to render. What are your system specs?
-
If it was working before and you completely reinstalled the game (uninstalled, deleted your ArmA folders to clear out any remaining files and then reinstalled) then I'm afraid I'm fresh out of ideas. I'd try the BiS forums, some of the guys over there are super tech-savy... http://forums.bistudio.com/

In reply to a few of the questions in this topic... No, testers cannot give any information on the game. Everyone had to sign an NDA (non-disclosure agreement). The game hasn't been released yet because of server performance issues. Once these are sorted it will more than likely be deemed ready for alpha release. There are so few zombies because of the server performance issues.
-
And it didn't run?
-
When you say 'Strip Arma II of DayZ mod' did you delete your @DayZ folder and download/reinstall the mod?
-
That machine will really struggle but just about run both DayZ mod and the standalone game. Also as above it's over-priced garbage. If you have any more questions please use the Can I Run DayZ? topic, which you can find here... http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/146536-can-i-run-dayz-post-here/ Locked.
