More games coming out like DayZ

Minecraft literally did the exact opposite.

Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

It's crazy cheap because those Pentiums are incredibly outdated and about to be discontinued. I think you'd struggle to run DayZ on that machine.

    So much laggy

It sounds like a problem your end. Run a speed test while you aren't having problems, so that you have some frame of reference, and then the next time that you have problems run a speed test and see if your connection is abnormally slow. http://www.speedtest.net/

    Low FPS

Are you sure there isn't a problem with your system? I'm running an i5 3570k @ 4.4Ghz and GTX 780 and I run BF3 at 90-100+ FPS. 60 seems very low for your specs.

Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

Like Skypill said - you just won't get ArmA 2 to utilise it. It'll be great in games like Crysis 3, but an i5 would perform significantly better in ArmA 2. Should hold 30+ FPS on low-medium settings.

    Thank you Dean Hall!

MGS went so rapidly down hill after the first one. MGS2 was okay, Snake Eater was a bit 'meh' and MGS4 was more like watching an episode of Dragonball-Z than playing an MGS game. Honestly, I don't think the new one will be worth spending 500 quid on a console for.

Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

It would just about run but it would be a horrible, stuttery experience on low settings. It's a decent build but it will massively underperform in ArmA 2 because of the CPU. You'd be better off with an i5.

Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

Med settings with 30+ FPS. Definitely not. Should run med-high settings with 40+ though.
  9. There might be some kind of humanity system (one far more subtle than bandit and hero skins) introduced further down the line, but not on release.
  10. I have to agree with the sentiments of the OP a little. It looks a bit 'WarZ' to me. I wouldn't mind balaclavas, bandanas or even hockey masks but this just seems a bit silly. :S

Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

Yes, but then you'd be paying for two HD 6870s that you don't want on top of already paying more than the machine's worth for buying it pre-assembled. Have you considered putting a system together yourself?

Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

Not sure what CPU is in there exactly, it just says 3rd gen i5/i7. I would have thought that you'd have a faster CPU and slower GPU in this desktop though. Like I said - you'd be much better off with a single powerful GPU than two 6870s if possible.

Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

30+ FPS on medium-high. You would get better performance if you had a single powerful GPU instead of dual 6870s as SLi/Crossfire setups only cause problems in ArmA II.
  14. Yesss! Delta Force 2, Counter-Strike and Unreal Tournament... Those were the days!
  15. 15 FPS even on low with that system? It's almost the same as mine and I get nearly 200 FPS on low. @OP - try setting all graphics settings to their max value, object detail to normal and post-process effects to disabled. Also set... GPUMaxFramesAhead=1 GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1 In your ArmA2.cfg and ArmA2OA.cfg.
  16. Stopped reading at 'sniping over Cherno'. <_<
  17. Indeed, contact BattlEye... http://www.battleye.com/support.html You're banned on ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead, the ban has nothing to do with us. Locked.

    Your opinions on dayz SA

The original plan was to release a standalone version of the mod in December 2012. How can you possibly not see many improvements?
  19. ...And have you been banned before?
  20. Where did you buy it from and have you been banned before?
  21. I don't think you understand how Intel boost works. He'll not see anywhere close to 3.4Ghz while running DayZ on that.

    Aim in Standalone

Smoothing and negative mouse acceleration are not the same thing. I'm a low sensitivity player. I have a 44cm wide mousepad and moving my mouse in a steady motion across my pad equates to me turning 180 degrees. If I make the same movement as fast as I can I'll turn less than 90 degrees. That is negative mouse acceleration and if you've built muscle memory in other games then it can take a long time to get used to. It's there to stop you being able to twitch aim like you can in Counter-Strike. Personally, I quite like it in ArmA II though. Once you get used to moving your mouse at the same speed every time you barely even notice it and it definitely makes the game feel more authentic.

    DayZ voice chat

Firstly, are you sure you aren't fapping or farting? Secondly, have you tried these possible solutions?.. http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/52408-mic-not-working-in-game-look-here/
  24. I'm not sure where you play but on the servers that I play on logging to clear zombies is considered combat logging. You get one warning, do it again and you're banned.

    Oculous Rift support?

IMO DayZ would work really well with the OR because of the Alt/free look function that already existed in ArmA. I think being able to look around with my head but still aim with the mouse would feel incredibly natural and be super immersive.
