But they have neither. :S You can pretty much walk up to them and smack them in the face with an axe before they react nine times out of ten. Did you ever play the DayZ+ mod? Zombies were buffed massively and you'd tend to find a lot of players that were looking to team up to avoid becoming dinner. There were a lot of bandits too of course, but there was a much more even spread. -

Honestly I see the zombies being buffed a lot as game development continues. They're currently very easy to avoid and even easier to kill, especially if you're in a group. -

IMO regardless of which military weapon we're talking about military weapons and clothing in general are far too common.

I'd like to be able to have two or three characters as I play with a group and we all log off together and I don't want to leave the area until the next time we play. Having characters not able to connect to the same server within an hour of each other would solve all forms of abuse, I think.

In real life you could simply alter the way that you were holding the rifle to allow you to move through a doorway, I don't see this adding anything to the game other than inconvenience. -

Combat logging is disconnecting while 'in combat', e.g. a player shoots at you and you disconnect. Talk about being misinformed... And no... An exploit not having consequences does not make it a feature...

I just think the military spawn points need to have less chance of spawning loot. The map is fine, the amount of M4s and general military gear is not.

I don't think anything that extreme is required, all military loot needs to have a lower drop rate is all. :)

Just because you can't be banned for it yet does not mean that it's not an exploit. I guess you combat log too then, yeah?

I agree. The spawn rates in towns etc. are all spot on and then you head to a military base and instantly find more loot than you know what to do with. All it needs is for the devs to be made aware and the changes can be made.

But what if I have a backpack and want to retrieve an item from my pocket? I have to do the full backpack animation?

Me and my buddy are running with one M4 and one Mosin. Feels like a really good combo. I'm not a huge fan of running around with the Mosin on my own though, although I do like using it to scope out areas.

I've only killed 2 guys so far... The first I met in Balota during my first life after release. He was standing in the holding cell, bleeding all over the place surrounded by 3 dead bodies. I backed up and he came at me with an axe so I had to put him down... The second was in Stary a day or two ago. My friend was KO'd by a Mike Tyson zombie and I was looking for something to revive him when I spotted someone making their way to the supermarket where my friend was down. When I got there we was furiously hacking my friend to death with an axe so again, I didn't have much choice but to kill him...

Regardless of how many guns are added IMO military weapons are too common. If you check a military base you will more than likely leave with an assault rifle, IMO this should not be the case.

Indeed. All we need is the drop rate to be lowered significantly. Could easily be added in the next patch. The devs just need to be made aware that it's an issue.

I've since realised that hunger/thirst only depletes this fast if you run around too much. It's really not a problem, just don't sprint everywhere.

You can combine it with rope to make a makeshift backpack. You will also be able to place them on the heads of restrained survivors in an upcoming patch.

The head (or whatever you'd call it) on that shovel is rather small and flimsy looking, and that tends to be the heaviest part. I'd say the kind featured in DayZ would be at least 3kg, honestly.

IMO mental wellbeing is near impossible to simulate in a game without it seeming incredibly inauthentic. If the player is not mentaly unstable then why should the character that they are controlling be?
