I think you'd get used to either using third-person to scan your body or just tapping tab to check for the "bleeding" status pretty quickly. I can't say I'm a fan of the current bleeding effect, especially when we've got the nice new lighting, models and animations.

It doesn't matter, the fact that 75% of the players in a server were either at or on their way to Balota at any given time was gamebreaking IMO. I've actually been seeing people at the NW airfield again since the spawn points were moved, it's great.

This is the way it will be. It's to counter the "spawn > sprint to Balota" metagame.

Would not recommend purchasing the game to run on that system. I'd estimate 5-10 FPS on "very low" settings with heavy config tweaking. More or less unplayable.

Yup, there seems to be a bug where you inexplicably die. No idea what causes it or how to avoid it as of yet, unfortunately. -
In the mod your render distance was locked by the server, usually around 1600m. You could not change it.

Sometimes you can just get unlucky and not find anything that can help you open a can.

When you start a new character you actually have a solid objective again. IMO the first hour is the most fun.

I reverted from the dev builds back to the stable one shortly after the public release. It's not worth it. -
I don't think dead bodies start to smell instantly. :S IMO the sense of smell is something that just can't be replicated in an authentic manner inside of a game.

That doesn't mean that the devs should encourage this behaviour by providing a game feature that does it for you. -
If someone logs in at a military spawn point there is maybe a 95% chance that they're server hopping. You'd have to be a complete idiot (or in a hurry) to legitimately log out somewhere like that.

I think this is a server side problem, I experience the same thing sometimes. With regards to the hotbar I find that if I hold the button corresponding to the item that I want to move to my hands for a second instead of simply tapping it it works more consistantly. The other issues can be more problematic though.

I'd say around 75% of the time. You should be slowing down to regen if you drop below around 75-80% health. -
The vanilla mod was by far my favourite but each to their own. Also, remember we are talking about a purpose built game, not a mod handed over to unpaid community devs now.

It takes a while to form an addiction, it's not a simple case of "take it once as a painkiller and you're addicted" or there's no way in hell that it would be used in medicine at all. I don't think this would add anything to the game, I think it's just an aesthetic feature.
