Yes. Rocket had his brother who is a virologist write a paper on the "zombie" virus in DayZ. It's actually relatively plausable compared to earthquakes in Europe.

I'm loving the populated vanilla and first-person only servers way too much to go back to the mod now. 115 hours in, still going strong... Looking forward to tomorrow's update. :D

Yeah, I don't think it's possible. DayZ retail was a lot more similar to ArmA 3 in the early dev builds, it used W + S to toggle walking/running etc. and you could really tell that a lot had been ported in from A3. I think if this was possible then it would have already been done unfortunately. If it is possible however then I'm all for it.

I think a lot more landmarks and unique bits and pieces will be added to the map over time. As I'm sure you can tell it's still very much a work in progress. A new town will be added in the next patch and there is still a lot of work to be done on the northern towns. Anything is possible at this point. Eastern Europe is pretty much slap bang in the middle of one of the largest techtonic plates. Earthquakes would make less than zero sense.

We don't delete accounts. Simple as. This way his IP is logged and he can't simply reappear and cause chaos again in a week.

So I played solely 1st Person Servers the whole day today and my thoughts are

I prefer first-person while indoors anyway. When in third-person your character enters a room before the "camera", so it really makes sense to use first-person while clearing rooms IMO. -

No, the best you can do is head inland, gear up, then come back and hunt them. Save the new guys! Also, Coffee is correct. PvE servers are not allowed. Kicking or banning players for player killing is against the server hosting rules and anyone that does this is liable to have their server taken down without a refund. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/158966-dayz-standalone-server-hosting-rules-server-reporting/ If you see any PvE or "no player killing" servers please report them as detailed in that topic.

Most books written after 1923 are copyrighted. I'm not 100% sure if the same applies to magazines but I'd say you're out of luck.

If you think that you would enjoy reading 500 pages of racist/homophobic slurs and ASCII penises then yes, this is probably do-able.

As above - you'll find a lot more loot if you get away from the coast and into the towns that are less likely to have been looted. You can find the Mosin Nagant in a lot of houses, or sometimes burned out cars, but the M4 will only spawn in military areas.

In your Steam library right-click DayZ, select properties and then you should find it here... -
^This. The update won't be available on the experimental build until Monday, and then it will be released as a "stable" build towards the end of the week.
