I'd say low-medium settings. It certainly won't run anywhere close to maxed out. What is your budget? The GTX 750Ti is the best "budget" card right now.

Day Z work with ARMA II: Combined Operations

You need to run ArmA 2 and ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead up to the main menu once each before you can install DayZ mod. -
Day Z work with ARMA II: Combined Operations
Mos1ey replied to jakehotspur's topic in New Player Discussion
Yes, this is everything that you need to play DayZ mod + the DLC which gives you some high res character and weapon models. Are you looking to play DayZ mod or DayZ game though? -
It will be a bit of a struggle and will need some tweaking but you'll run the game alright on that machine. The graphics card could really do with an upgrade though, the 400 series is from 2010 and the GT 430 was always one of the lower end cards.

Not sure if hat or awesome haircut.

Solution = don't let your blood get too low. :) It's even easier to do in DayZ retail than it was in the mod. Maybe it's just a difference in opinion but honestly, I think the effects of being near death should be obnoxious. It kind of comes with the territory.

There is no non-Steam version. Game updates are issued by Steam, it's 100% required. Also, please only post topics once in the correct place. Cross-posting is not allowed.

This is not allowed. Report these servers to their hosting company, if you don't know which company they're hosted with then send a report to all of them. Where to to send your server reports: Multiplay: [email protected] Vilayer: [email protected] Fragnet: [email protected] or submit a ticket to their abuse department GamingDeluxe: [email protected] Gameservers: [email protected] * Remember to include the IP and port numbers, the server name is not enough* You find these numbers by highlighting the server in the server browser, then selecting 'Detail' at the lower right. If you can't remember which server you were playing on, you can find it under the 'History' tab. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/158966-dayz-standalone-server-hosting-rules-server-reporting/

It's not hard to punch out a zombie. :S

Should do, yeah. It's tough to say for sure because I don't actually know anyone that runs DayZ on an i3, but that's a pretty new CPU so I would have thought the single-core performance would be decent, and that's what's important for RV engine games.

1) The guys working on weapons and items aren't the same guys working on other features. These things will be constantly developed alongside everything else. Not sure why I have to repeat this so often... And 2) I think we do need these things. The game lacks variety and more items and weapons lead to more variety and character progression. Essential IMO.

I don't think a Mac version would be quite profitable when it's already possible for Mac users to play via BootCamp but we'll see. I'm not saying it won't happen, but don't get your hopes up until it's confirmed by the devs.
-
Who's hiding anything? Has this topic been removed? I believe you were saying something about "awesome logic"?
-
I wouldn't hold your breath, it would be the first Bohemia title to have a Mac version. To avoid disappointment wait for official word from the devs and don't make assumptions.

Dayz standalone vs arma 3 specs ?
Mos1ey replied to anothercynicalbrit's topic in General Discussion
Exactly. So if you have a powerful CPU with decent single-core performance and a solid graphics card then it will perform well in A3. Like I said, it depends on your specs. -
For me going back to the mod isn't really an option. The customisable clothing, new loot system and whatnot in DayZ retail is just too much of a step forward, plus it was impossible to find a populated vanilla server towards the end, I'd imagine it's even worse now... There are other fun things to do in ArmA 2 though. I still play from time to time.
-
Mostly "very high" if you drop a couple of the more intensive settings like ambient occlusion and post-processing and tweak a couple of config values. If this isn't a system that you've already purchased I'd recommend a GTX 780 over 2 x 770s though.

Dayz standalone vs arma 3 specs ?
Mos1ey replied to anothercynicalbrit's topic in General Discussion
My system performs better in ArmA 3 than it does in DayZ. I get 60 FPS constant with everything on ultra. It dips in the larger cities of Altis in some mods but for the most part it's consistent. It depends purely on your specs. -
AFAIK the ArmA 3 stances were considered too "military" for DayZ, as you're supposed to be playing as your average civilian. They could have just ported them over if they'd wanted them in DayZ. I wouldn't oppose having a couple of extra stances to help use cover more effectively, but I think the full range would be excessive.

This would be a lot of work to get working smoothly in DayZ. I'm not sure if that's possible within the engine. We may have to settle for running being part of the attack animation, similarly to players switching weapons while running.

"Flaming" is not tolerated here. Not a very good first post.
-
The island is Utes from ArmA 2. I'm not 100% sure whether it's still planned.

You can find the Feedback Tracker here... http://feedback.dayzgame.com/my_view_page.php For future reference it's listed with the DayZ sub-forums on the front page of the forums. :) Also, I edited your post by accident instead of replying to it... Sorry. It's one of those days... *sigh*

Hmm... This used to happen when the alpha first launched but it was fixed a long time ago. I guess it must have come back somehow... Did you submit a bug report?
-
Yeah, I've had a green shirt and brown jeans as my default char since day one. I prefer to play as a white character purely because I'm white and I like my character to be as close to "me" as possible though.
