The ability to kill other players is an essential game feature that will never be removed. Sorry!
-
Bullets travel faster than sound - you were more than likely sniped.
-
These are not the kind of posts that I would be writing if I were skating on such thin ice.
-
Are snipers the most harmless thing in DayZ?
Mos1ey replied to bauertschi's topic in General Discussion
I've still never died by sniper in DayZ mod or retail, aside from being sprayed down at point blank range in the .50cal days of course. -
It still takes a bit of travelling and patience to accumulate full military grade gear, which is the "end-game" for most players. When the game is closer to completion and vehicles are added this will not be the case though, it should be a fair bit more difficult and time consuming.
-
You should use proper communication to identify your friends. Magic friend icons are not really in keeping with the DayZ ethos IMO.
-
I think it will be much like the mod. A lot of fun to play as a group but may grow stagnant if playing alone after you rack up a decent amount of hours played - for me at least.
-
When vehicles are added you will not have one 95% of the time. Make that 100% if you think travelling from Berezino to Svet is too much effort... They will be rare and require a lot of hard work, travelling around the map finding bits and pieces, to repair them. Then ultimately someone else could find it while you're on your way back with the final part. DayZ isn't a casual game where you can just hop on, gear up and shoot things.
-
If Minecraft is only running at 30 FPS then I think you may have a hardware fault... It runs at about 300 FPS for me.
-
That's still not right, with a decent i5 and GTX 760 you should be well above 30 FPS. This is regarding the mod and not DayZ retail, right? Have you tried deleting the mod completely and installing again from scratch?
-
Nvidia GeForce Experience is awful, I wouldn't recommend using it to set your graphics settings. I'd drop anti-aliasing, object detail a bit and disable post-processing if you haven't already. Are you having issues in any other games or only DayZ?
-
The way in which TS3 overlays work is similar to how wallhacks and other ESP cheats work which can cause anticheat software to mistake it for a cheat. I've never heard of anyone actually getting banned for using something like a TS overlay though, it's more of a disclaimer than anything.
-
What are your in-game graphics settings?
-
Nice! Will have to jump on and try this out today at some point.
-
Is there a chat? how to know when Im about to die because I havent ate?
Mos1ey replied to harven90's topic in New Player Discussion
Also yes, there are plans to increase the max player count per server. There were 100 slot servers in the last experimental build and I believe the devs are aiming for even higher. -
Pfft... In Quake I can carry 10 weapons.
-
Now try it fully laden with a backpack full of canned goods, ammo and a loaded rifle in your hands. ;)
-
More than likely, but it's highly unlikely that they have the time to sift through server logs.
-
Do you have a dedicated graphics card? If not then no, definitely not. Sorry! No, and I'm fairly sure that the person who wrote that doesn't understand how CPUs function. A 2.3Ghz quad-core does not equal 9.2Ghz of processing power. It has four cores, each running at 575Mhz. Anyways, you should be aiming for a relatively modern 3Ghz CPU and decent dedicated graphics card to run the game at a playable level.
-
It was removed from DayZ mod by the devs. It's a bit of an immersion breaker.
-
9.2Ghz? I'm guessing that's a typo... ? Either way - no, not really. I'd avoid anything that's running on an integrated graphics chip. You need a dedicated graphics card. Please use the dedicated "Can I Run DayZ Mod?" topic, which you can find here... http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/146536-can-i-run-dayz-mod-post-here/ Locked.

It's worth noting that you will more than likely require evidence if you are to report a server.
-
Yeah, I think this is a real issue which needs to be addressed. You aren't the first person to bring this up lately.
-
Some people are still having issues AFAIK. It seems to work 100% of the time for me, but other people have reported that direct chat does not work for them.
-
Assuming they're making full use of the ToH assets, 90% of the playerbase will not be able to pilot a helicopter successfully.
