    HAX EVERYWHERE! Officially unplayable

That sucks, but you've just been unlucky. xD I've racked up quite a few hours and I've died by hacker once. Pro tip: if you see 'some ghillie suit guy standing in the woods randomly exploding trees and shit'... Leave the game.

DayZ blood packs in the north?

I'm currently between Stary and the NW airfield with a spare blood bag if you need it. Won't be in-game til later on though. Got a spare ghillie too... Damn stuff's taking up all the space in my pack. u,u

    Make the nights brighter!!!

Using in-game settings the way they were intended isn't an exploit...
  5. I think it's supposed to be a kind of I Am Legend type scenario. Humanity got fucked up by an infection and only a few, who are immune, remain.

    GPS, Maps & Cameras

Nah, he's actually right. I usually have a map but either don't use it or just use an online map cause it shows terrain in more detail, lol. If the map was harder to acquire, I just wouldn't bother.

    'new' bandit skin is terribad..

Choked on my coffee when I saw that pic, haha. Good stuff...

    Radeon HD6950 2gig low fps?

I have an i7 and HD6970. Runs ARMA II smooth as a baby's bum but it hates DayZ. Guessing it will be better in the standalone version.

    The murderer problem

Unfortunately, the only way that works. u,u They just skim read and assume I'm crying about all forms of player killing, when in fact fearing bandits is part of what makes this game fun for me, otherwise.

    Spawn with a hatchet?

No, knowing the mod was in alpha and ARMA has no mellee combat therefore it was bound to be buggy, I Googled it. Really, I'm sorry for your complete inability to think, but stop blaming DayZ.

Wall at the border to keep the action inside the map

Beans. Even just an invisible wall would be fine by me though TBH.

    Spawn with a hatchet?

Not sure if trolling or retarded. Improving the inventory system make the game more user-friendly. Spawning with a weapon would make it more noob-friendly. That's the difference, study it carefully.

    The murderer problem

Not really, he implied it anyway, I was just 'taking the bait' on his behalf. ;) The problem with you people is that you either can't read, or just choose not to. I think I've said at least twice (in this thread alone) that banditry and PvP is fine by me, it's the asshats that sit under a pine tree, sniping hatchet noobs, that ruin the game. It's pretty much 'I'm not good enough to play Battlefield 3, so I snipe people that can't return fire in DayZ'. And again... It isn't co-op with friends or people that you met online that we need more of. It's those random interactions in-game that used to happen a few months back that I want back. There is no 'is this guy friendly?' parnanoia dilemma any more, you just know he isn't because everyone shoots on sight now, whether it's because they're a bandit or just because they're scared that you'll shoot them. The fear is gone and it's just becoming a deathmatch with AI zombies. And just lol @ being bad at PvP... Competitive FPS player here, mate.

    The murderer problem

I'll answer for him - 'player killing is the bigget part of this mod'. ...And he's wrong. Shock horror - the game is actually about survival. Not screwing over freshly spawned players. I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of encouraging co-op instead of discouraging grief kills, but then you just hit the exact same problem... How do you do that? The aim would be to encourage people to help RANDOMS, not just their friends, and it would have to be implemented in a way that wouldn't allow a player to have their friends act as randoms in order to gain said benefit of co-op play.

    canirunitold

Why do people insist on gaming on laptops? Lol. I don't have much experience with AMDs but a 2.5Ghz dual-core will probably melt on the loading screen. xD

    Slow Zombies

You guys know the zombies currently run the same speed as a player and because they have to stop to attack you they're actually slower than you, right? If you keep your eyes and ears open you shouldn't really be getting hit that often, even when shit hits the fan and you end up with 5+ zombies tailing you...

    The murderer problem

I dunno, I just feel that senseless killing is so unrealistic that it really takes away from the realism aspect of the game. I don't care what any of the wannabe post-apocolypse John Gottis say, they would not just kill people for no apparent reason in real life... Maybe you'd get the 1/1,000,000 psycho but it's literally 1/10 in every server, lol. It's so hard to come up with a mechanic that could separate legitimate banditry and grief/pointless kills though... I kind of wish they'd just remove sniper rifles all together, they hurt the game more than they add to it.

    The murderer problem

From a non-shoot in sight player... Player killing is part of the game. There is nothing wrong with banditry (killing a player to steal their loot or any other way in which it may benefit you e.g. Clearing the area so that any nearby loot is yours). There is a problem with DayZ though, and it's griefing. Those guys that sit on the hills, sniping people for no reason other than to kill people and add +1 murder so they can tell their prepubescent friends how 1337 they are. That has to stop. It's killing the game.

Get rid of the kill messages.

Yeah, disable murder stat and 'X was killed' text. Would make gunfights more immersive IMO.

    Spawn with a hatchet?

One of the few items that you do still spawn with is a pair of legs. I find it's quite an effective strategy to use them if you aggro a zombie while unarmed. Even when I do have a gun, I only use it if I've been hit enough to cause bleeding and can't shake the zombies that are tailing me quickly (very rare). Even dodging around un-enterable buildings to break line of sight is enough to lose zombies half the time. Stop raging and expecting the game to hold your hand while you learn to walk, please. And it isn't supposed to be a fun game, if you'd have even read the thread you'd have seen the quote where Rocket described it as an 'anti-game'. It's a post-apocalypse survival-sim. It's designed to be hard. It's designed to fuck you over. Deal with it or don't play it, lol.

    Stand Alone Suggestions!

People like you (bandits) aren't the problem, it's the griefers that spend their time sniping fresh spawns that people don't like and want to discourage. In a real world apocalypse you wouldn't just kill people for shits and giggles when you stand to gain nothing from it, that needs to be simulated in the game somehow.
  22. Mos1ey

    Stand Alone Suggestions!

A lot of good ideas in there but a couple of things you need to think about are... 1) The zombies currently run the same speed as humans but they run in bursts so they're actually slower than a sprinting player. 2) The zombies aren't undead, they're infected, so shouldn't require a headshot to take down. 3) I don't think there should be a disadvantage to playing alone or as a small group. Some people don't want a clan and shouldn't have to in order to gain top-tier loot.
  23. Mos1ey

    Pricing.

I also bought ARMA II: CO just for DayZ, and while I can see your point, it really isn't Rocket's fault that we bought a game to play his mod, lol. I guess how grudgingly I part with my cash depends on how different the standalone version is from the mod.
