So some people wash up on the coast with a bandage and painkillers, while others spawn on top of a box of med supplies. That seems fair... Also, spawning players into PvP central is a pretty horrible idea. At least with everyone spawning on the coast everyone has the same chance and can make their own decision with regards to what they're gonna do. A lot of players avoid the big cities completely and head north straight away.

You'll get used to the clunky ARMA 2 movement and be gliding through doors like a sir eventually. Low mouse sensitivity is your friend... As for the mags, it's because that half empty one is in your weapon and the others are in your inventory, there should be an 'unload weapon' feature in the gear menu but again, that's ARMA 2 not DayZ unfortunately. -

He meant you can use it to drink water but you wouldn't be able to store the can in your pack because obviously, it would all spill out. -
Training over time (Character skilling)

These skills are already in the game. Want to improve your aim? Practice shooting. Want to improve your driving? Drive. And so on... I don't really think a gun should be more accurate in another players hands just because he's fired more rounds in-game. It should be down to your actual skill. :) -
Then what's the problem? :S They're fine as they are right now, they just need more health or something to make them a little harder to kill.

This is unfixable at present. I'd like for the artifacting and tents/vehicles to be fixed. Also the teleporting to the coast bug, if possible. I can wait until the standalone for everything else if I have to. -
Remove nametags. Add mechanic to easily recognise friends.

I can see your point but in real life you would recognise your friend's face and clothes instantly. In-depth character customisation would be my ideal 'fix' for this, but this would be nice in the mean time... -
You washed up on the coast, maybe from a shipwreck or something. That's the reason why you have such menial supplies... If you lived in Chernaraus you wouldn't leave your house with only an empty backpack, a bandage and painkillers, would you? Think before you flame please, guys. Jeeze...

When I read the thread title I was like 'lol no...', but with this 'tag friend' mechanic it could work nicely. -
The idea is that you washed up on the coast... How do you explain someone magically appearing inland? Lol.

You could always drop the mags on the floor, put your secondary in your bag, equip the torch, then pick the mags back up. That's a lot of effort for what it is though, lol.

Nice. I was under the impression he was actually against private hive and Lingor servers. It'd be cool if he brought singleplayer back now, that was fun. :D Very awkward interview in places though, lol.

I think it's probably the server. I have an HD 6970 and for some reason I get 5-20 FPS on some servers when I'm normally above 60 the whole time on others. It's strange but yeah, just try another server...

Still play Quake Live, CSS (GO more now :D), CoD2 and CoD4 (competitively). Arcadey twitch shooters are my thang TBH. -

Average virgin. Bought Battlefield, couldn't do better than a 0.5KDR so you shoot hatchet noobs in DayZ instead. -
The ghillie suit isn't a 'hacked' item, you can find them in the 3 main cities or at heli crash sites. You should be aware that most players will assume that you're a bandit and shoot on sight while you're wearing it though. To remove a ghillie suit you should open your gear menu, right-click your civilian clothing and change back in to that clothing. If you dropped your civi clothing then you're stuck in the ghillie. Also, there's a known bug where changing clothing can make your backpack disappear so you might want to drop it on the floor and pick it up again after you change.
