Most of my weapons come from barracks, radio towers, military tents, etc. I imagine they'd be pretty well maintained. Maybe weapons from deer stands would be a little dirty but I don't imagine they'd be caked in dirt, lol. I'm not dead set against this but I wouldn't like to see it become a big part of the game. It should be similar to the temperature/infection feature in terms of how often it's used.

How much can a weapon degrade in, say, a character's 30 day life? Lol. I don't really see much need for this TBH.

I think the problem is that a lot of these people haven't tested before and think they're just playing a game. If you don't want to have to play around and avoid bugs then wait for the DayZ stand alone 1.0.0 (not the winter 2012 alpha version). This will probably be a year or more down the line but it will be finished and bug free. Stop complaining until then, please... -

There is quality control on the updates... US. Do you not know what alpha testing is? Lol. Don't use tents or vehicles until they're fixed. How does that sound? To be honest, this game could do with less whiny kids. There will still be plenty of players (and probably a better community...) in a month. Just my two cents... -
Actually, there are constant beta updates that Steam won't download for you. xD DayZ Commander makes life very, very easy in this respect though. It even tells you what percentage of servers are running which patches.

There's gonna be less PvP in the stand alone when the kids can dupe weapons, ammo and equipment. Their AS50s will be useless when they don't dare seek out or can't find ammo. :)

DayZ is the kind of game where epic things just happen. Just play however it is you play and I'm sure memorable moments will pop up along the way. Just please, for the love of God, don't make videos involving killing under-equipped new players in spawn cities.

I found a coyote pack as my first item after spawning on my last life. Minutes later I was completely unarmed and being chased by a makarov wielding retard that went through about 5 mags before he killed me. I didn't d/c, I took the death like a man and lost my pack... And you should have too. Don't disconnect unless it's too avoid hackers, please... Especially if it's your own fault. xD

The thread below this one is about adding more vehicles (the chinook being one of them) and was started about an hour before you wrote this... I know using the search bar is just far too much to ask of some people but really... Open your eyes.

It's happened to me a couple of times too. It's like the loot forgets to spawn or something. It's usually there if I leave and come back though.

Use Fraps for recording and something like AfterEffects and/or Cinema 4D for intros. If you have to ask what to make videos about then I'm not sure why you're making them though...

I'd like too see a bigger variety of vehicles without increasing the number of vehicles on the map. Saw a video where someone had a chinook, they must have been hacking, but it looked awesome and would be an epic addition to the game!

They should remove all loot. You'd be running around like 'I'm dying of thirst and starvation!'. Imagine how awesome that would be...

AKM, hands down. inb4 flame. xD My perfect loadout is an AKM, M9SD and any decent sniper rifle in my pack in case I end up in a sniper battle. -

This would completely destroy the game, lol. What are lone players supposed to do when a bandit group has all the zombie cock blockers? And if these exist then why are there even zombies? And what about when griefers blow up all the fuel tanks on your server for the lulz?

Apartments, churches, supermarkets, pretty much any residential area in the 3 big cities. They're fairly common, I usually find one at the start of every life but Cherno was unkind to me last night... u,u Hopefully I'll find one on a trip to Berezino later on...
