If you're playing on fairly high graphics settings then struggling around 60 FPS sounds about right, lol. ArmA 2/DayZ is just a beast... -

Yeah, GIMP is pretty good. It borrows a lot from PS and it's free. -
Now that he has broken legs the respawn button is enabled and yeah, nothing will spawn in the hospital unless someone has been there recently triggering items to spawn.

If they attacked me first then no, not at all. They attacked me so it was either me or them and then they probably would have gone on to kill others... Doing Chernarus a favour, lol. If they made me kill them in some other way like not responding to chat then yeah, I usually do feel bad. -

No problem. There's a really good thread on here somewhere about FoV in ArmA if you have a look around with the search bar. It uses vertical FoV, not horizontal like most games, and radians on top of that so it's a nightmare if you don't know what you're doing, lol. He meant 'is it difficult to find a vehicle?', lol. Yes, it can be a pain to find vehicles and repairing them can be just as bad. I'd concentrate on surviving and getting some basic gear to begin with. xD

You'll have to change your FoV manually via your config file if you want it higher while using heavy weapons. -

Life isn't statistics and pie-charts, lol. Having to guage your blood level using the icon is more realistic, a bit more challenging and can add a bit of fear when you don't know if you're under 10k waiting to be knocked unconscious. It's just better all-around IMO. -
Well it sounds like you have actually lost your gear then. Unlucky! The mod is still in alpha testing though, you'll have to put up with losing your character to bugs or hackers from time to time. On the bright side... Now you can go and find some more gear! xD

Rule 1) Trust no one. Rule 2) Don't get attached to your gear. Rule 3) Don't kill bambis! xD

If you were playing on the main hive before... Get DayZ Commander and use the 'hide unofficial' option. This will only show main hive servers. If you were playing private hive before... Your gear will only be saved on the server that you originally played on. You'll have to find it again.

It sounds like you were playing on the main hive before and then accidentally went in to a private hive server where you have no saved character.

Did you delete your @DayZ folder before reinstalling? If not I'd try again and do that this time.

It's allowed, it only works on servers that have it enabled though. Pretty sure you can use custom faces on AWA Private Hive. -
Yeah, I've died to hackers quite a few times. You're just lucky, lol. I'm on a good run at the minute though, haven't been killed by one for ages. The other day I joined a new server as a fresh spawn in Cherno, within 5 minutes was teleported to Stary military tents where there was a working UAZ. I got in it as everyone else in the server appeared around me and got the hell out of there, running about 3 or 4 of them over and the rest shooting at me. Got kicked before I got to Novy, LOL! D:

Not knowing exactly how much blood/humanity you have makes the game a bit more interesting TBH. I'm glad it's gone. -
Go in to graphics options and disable post-processing effects. That will get rid of the screen blur. You can regain 200 blood from canned food, 800 from cooked meat or you can get a blood transfusion from another player which will take you right back up to 12000.
