What are the best mouse settings or mouse sensitivity in your opinion.

Played competitive FPS for a good while, would have to say lower sensitivity is definitely better for most people. I tend to use a setting that equates to moving the mouse about 10" to turn 180 degrees. Once you get used to it you find that your aim and movement in game is a lot more fluent. -
Standalone release before or after Christmas?

December 2012. So far this is all we know for sure. Rocket hinted that it we'll have it in time for Xmas but nothing official. -
Barns spawn stuff like Winchesters, Lee Enfields, CZ550s etc., if you venture in to Cherno or Elektro you've got a good chance of picking up an AK at the firehouses, there's also a good chance of snipers and asshats in general lurking though. That's the chance you take... xD

Yeah, I think that will run the game fine. As said above you'd get much better performance for your money with a desktop though and Apples really aren't great for gaming. Also, ArmA is a Windows exclusive so you'll need to use something like Bootcamp to play. Hmm... Alienware or not you should be running okay on those specs. Do you have post-processing effects disabled? If not get rid of it, it causes a lot of mouse lag and eats a load of FPS. Also, if you're running with Steam in launch options add -cpucount=8. Might help.

Alienware machines just aren't worth the money you pay for them and ArmA 2 is a bit of a beast to run. I'm not surprised TBH. What are your system specs?

I think it's a good idea but I can see the vast majority not agreeing. Would be kind of annoying if you were playing with friends on your 'home' server and then you die and can't respawn there. But then again... You're supposed to be dead!

Yeah, I still have an L85 on the main hive, lol. Might dump it in a bush in an empty server though. ;D

Yup, L85 has been removed and the AS50 dropped to a 0.01% spawn rate. I'm happy. :)

I would assume so, yes. Your CD key has been banned, buying a new copy of the game will give you a new CD key and you can play again. If you bought the game through Steam before then you might have to make a new account.

I always do one lap of Cherno/Elektro/Berez right at the start when I have nothing to lose then only really go back if I need med supplies, you can get geared in the smaller towns on your way north but it's so much faster if you just take the risk and go to a city. -
The price has not been confirmed yet but I'd imagine something like £15 on release, increasing up to maybe £25 as more updates are released.

You can use ArmA 2: Free and the paid version of Operation Arrowhead to run DayZ and save yourself £10. You can't get both for free though, no.

Voice in side chat isn't allowed in a lot of servers and I consider it quite rude myself TBH. Banning you straight away is a bit odd though, maybe the admin was in a bad mood, lol. -

The game wouldn't be playable on 50% of the player base's PCs if brush render distance was increased to a point where it would actually affect gameplay. -

You mean left-hand side? I'm using the left-alt. In any other game my thumb would be resting on spacebar, so you just move your thumb one key to the left, lol. For a leftie I'd recommend just mirroring the WASD layout with PL;' and taking the mouse with your left hand. Shouldn't cause too many problems. -

You have been globally banned on ArmA 2 by BattlEye. 113CB1 is the first 6 characters of your GUID. Nothing to do with DayZ, we physically can't do anything for you. You'll just have to wait for BattlEye to get back to you.
