It isn't PvP based at all, it's a sandbox game with a community that created a deathmatch metagame... Regardless this idea makes no sense, as said above - why would you become weaker through killing someone? :S

There are no bans for no reason, either you were caught cheating or you downloaded something which led to your CD key being stolen. You're banned on ArmA, not DayZ, so we can't do anything. Contact BattlEye support.

Different clothing options (found in game) have been confirmed, I don't think your character will get fat/slim based on how much you eat though. -
You can see the guy's serial in the bottom right of the video, lol. That was clever... DayZ is more intensive than stock ArmA 2 BTW, I think that laptop is gonna really struggle a lot with DayZ. It would probably be unplayable in places like Cherno/Elektro. Should Painkillers/Antibiotics Have Use Count ?

I think it's a nice idea. Like people have already said - painkillers/antibiotics should spawn with a random number of pills (x/12 or x/24) in a packet and the spawn rate would have to be dropped to make them rarer. I liked the bits people said about painkillers taking a few minutes to take affect and antibiotics having to be taken once an hour for a few hours in game time too. -
Enable vsync and change your video output to 30Hz. Done.

Ah, okay. That I can sympathise with, I hate Games For Windows Live and Rockstar Social Club with a passion... Steam's actually a decent piece of software though. I guess we'll be able to join our Steam friend's games through our friends lists and stuff, no?

Due to the open nature of ArmA 2 it's kinda hard to stop hackers. More and more people are being banned these days though. The standalone will be a lot less open to modding etc. therefore hopefully a lot harder to hack and easier to maintain.

Beta patches are backwards compatable. If you download the latest beta patch you can play on servers running any version.

OMG, I love The Avalanches. That whole album is so good! I'd rename and move this to the Suggestions forum but it's been discussed many times with mixed opinions already... Personally I don't think cannibalism would bring anything to the game. -
I changed my FOV to the equivalent of about 80, haven't had many problems. I knew this was an issue before I changed it though, probably would have gone higher with it otherwise.

The Christmas sale is always ridiculous. It's pretty much the same as we just had with new deals every day and flash sales where stuff is like 75% off for a few hours. It's actually worth not buying many games all year and then just getting a tonne in the autumn/Christmas sales. -
