Using the toggle zoom-out sets it way too high. If you do it properly you can select an FOV value that you're comfortable with. Also, zoom-out doesn't work when holding certain weapons. This. I started playing before there were loot maps and tutorials and the first month where I started off completely lost in Chernarus and then slowly figured out the map and where to find different loot was the best bit. :D

I'm gonna take a guess at integrated graphics, lol. It's highly unlikely that you'll be able to run the mod or foundation build on that machine, sorry! More zombies = worse performance/lower FPS Slower zombies = easier to avoid and kill It's just not really viable.

Well I know they had Rocket's brother (a virologist) write up a document about the hypothetical infection in DayZ, maybe that will feature in the game somewhere. Seems like a lot of wasted time and effort if they aren't going to do anything with it.

They are infected. My point is that I don't remember anyone ever saying that zombies have to be undead risen from the grave, I'm pretty sure the infection in DayZ, Walking Dead, 28 Days Later etc. would still fall under the zombie category. :)

Pretty sure they're 'infected' in The Walking Dead too and I don't think it's set in stone that zombies are 'undead' and not 'infected' either, they aren't real in case you hadn't noticed. xD Also, I always thought of DayZ as Day Zero. Y'know... Kamenka Chernarus Day 0 From there on out it's your story...

L85 AWS : Ban or not from server for using it?

If it's a main hive server then refuse, they can't ban you for having a legitimately obtained weapon. If it's a private hive then you better do as they say as they make the rules. If an admin questions you about it (in a main hive server) then start Fraps-ing and if you get banned (which you shouldn't) them make a post in the ban appeals sub-forum and you will be able to have it reversed. -

Nope, I have no idea. Sorry! I have a feeling that won't have been changed yet as it didn't affect gameplay half as much as them walking indoors, but you never know. I'll test out the old tricks like docks and hiding in bushes when I get hold of the game and we'll see. :D -

It's being released in alpha, lol. Surely you weren't expecting new models, map, overhauled med system, UI, etc. etc. etc. as well as all the bug fixes to have been completed in 6 months??? o.O -
Yeah, I got on for the first time in a while last night and literally couldn't find a private hive server that didn't require whitelisting, had more than 10 players and default settings. xD Everywhere seems to have 'starter gear' i.e. pretty much all gear or 9,001 vehicles. Really need to get whitelisted on a decent private hive, lol. Althought saying that, didn't see any signs of foul play on the main hive all night so things must have improved. :)

Rocket said the other day that the optimisation was pretty much offset by the graphical improvements so you should expect pretty much the same FPS. I don't even know what to think any more, lol. -
Correct X / Y ratio for mouse?

The X and Y sliders refer to horizontal and vertical mouse sensitivity, it has no bearing on mouse acceleration. I'm pretty sure the mouse accel is an intentional feature to make weapon handling more realistic so you can't twitch aim headshots as if you were playing Counter-Strike, lol. -
