Yeah, I played a main hive server that had a debug monitor enabled on the most recent patch a few days ago. Not sure how though, I don't think modding things like that on main hive servers is allowed. :S
-
Both good ideas. You should need a knife to cut yourself loose though.
-
Rocket's already said he'd consider it if they sell 1m units on PC. Use the search bar please.
-
The custom maps are different mods.
-
There is no officially supported way to play singleplayer, no. DayZ is all about human interaction anyway. :)
-
Singleplayer is disabled in DayZ mod.
-
You can't. If you are invited you will be contacted by a dev. Can everyone please stop asking, this is getting ridiculous... :(

The 'ID' is the first 6 digits of your GUID, it's exclusive to you. You've been globally banned by BattlEye, there's nothing you can do other than wait for them to respond. How long that takes just depends on how busy they are.

You'll run it on high settings easy but ArmA 2 is Windows only so you'll need Boot Camp or something to run a virtual copy of Windows on your machine. If you have any more questions please post them in the 'Can I Run It?' thread which you can find here... http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/64576-can-i-run-it-ask-here/page__st__2560

This. ^^ DayZ mod was actually just intended as a tech demo for persistant worlds in ArmA 2. It was only meant to provide a couple of hours gameplay but people loved it and played the hell out of it. Unfortunately no game changing features have been added thus far (mainly due to the game's limitations as a mod), but that will be sorted in the standalone. :)

v175 beta: meat issues [solved] [old]
Mos1ey replied to Dayzo's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I think you already know the answer to that question. ;) -
Well that's what happens when you post without thinking... I did start work at 7:30am this morning though, so I have a decent excuse. ^_^
-
Just open BitTorrent and let some stuff seed, if you have a decent connection it shouldn't bog you down too much. Just enough to alter your ping a bit.
-
The reason for the new bandit skin was that the old one offered better camo over the other skins therefor was pretty overpowered.

always shot on sight - what am i doing wrong?
Mos1ey replied to Rocknrolla (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I think voice can be heard at up to 80m, but at 80m it will be so quiet that probably won't hear you. I'd try to stay within 40m. Good luck! -

Don't charge at people shouting 'FRIENDLY!', lol. 1) You'll get killed by anyone that isn't friendly instantly. 2) To anyone that is friendly you might as well be running at them shouting 'I'M NEW AND WILL PROBABLY GET US BOTH KILLED!'. xD Like Fraggle said try and be a bit more careful. Watch people for a while before you speak to them, do they look like they're looking for trouble or just trying to find some loot? Etc. -
After the success of DayZ I'm 100% certain someone will try their luck on a similar mod. Will it be as good as DayZ mod? Doubtful but why not try it out and see.

CD key Been Stolen? And now it is different?
Mos1ey replied to agoney's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
You have to contact BattlEye Support, we can't do anything. :S -
It's your responsibility to protect your CD-key, not anyone else's. The only way it can be stolen is if you download and run a dodgy .exe file or give someone direct access to your PC. Only BattlEye can help you now. I've heard of people who have had their CD-key stolen being given a new one in rare cases, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

When you look at 'minimum' specs for a game, those are the minimum specs required to open the game without getting an error message. It wouldn't be playable on these specs. OP - What are your other specs? If you've only got a dual-core CPU and a couple of gigs of RAM then spending a few quid on a graphics card won't do a whole lot, if your other specs are alright then you'll probably be able to just about get by on a £50 card. Please post them in the 'Can I Run It?' thread here... http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/64576-can-i-run-it-ask-here/page__st__2520 And I'll let you know. Thanks!

Large FPS drops when playing online mainly on Chernarus
Mos1ey replied to 1clash1's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
I think setting things to 'low' actually puts them on your CPU instead of your graphics card so that won't help, lol. Have you tried everything set to 'normal' with post-processing and anti-aliasing disabled? -
ArmA 3 and DayZ standalone are completely seperate games.

2Ghz is kinda low, even for an i7 CPU. What graphics settings are you playing on? -
5-10 fps, high end computer, please help
Mos1ey replied to Ranger01 (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Can you post your system specs please? And did you buy the game through Steam?
