It takes months to put on weight from overeating, most people don't survive long enough anyway. Ninja'd! u,u

The 680 and a bit of an overclock would be nice then. I imagine you'd run ARMA II near maxed out with pretty solid FPS. :)
-
Holding Alt gives you control of your head. Probably the best thing about ARMA, lol. How do you not know this? xD
-
I find using the Alt key and mouse to look around a lot easier than using the numpad. :S

Infections (ref new 1.7.5.1 update/changelog) - what does an infection do??
Mos1ey replied to xwhitemousex's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Yeah, as above - it seems to be the same infection that you've been able to get through low temperature for a long time. You lose 3 blood per second down to a minimum of 3,000 until you cure it with antibiotics. -
Constant switching between whisper/talk/shout sounds like a pain in the arse, and I find having to use push-to-talk bad enough. This would probably just stop me using in-game comms all together. xD
-
Depends on your CPU mate. ARMA II is a really CPU intensive game so if your processor's so-so then it'll bottleneck and the 680 won't do you a whole lot of good. If you've got something like an i5 3570k then a 680 will compliment it nicely.

Yeah, the L85 AWS has been removed from the loot table, but some of us still have them from before. ;) You can keep it, you won't be banned.

DIfferent Server Different FPS?
Mos1ey replied to Michael (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Yes, it will. Some servers perform better than others, simple as that. Also, things like how often the server is restarted i.e. how many dead players and zombies etc. are on the map can also affect your performance. -
Banned for no reason - beaware - http://stealthgaming.com.au

You're funny. It's a private hive, they can ban whoever they want... -
ArmA II: OA key was stolen and I'm now unable to change it.
Mos1ey replied to PrimePhoenix's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
I'd reinstall your OS before doing anything or your key's just gonna get stolen again TBH. -
Looking for information on an unknown GlobalBan ID.
Mos1ey replied to vDarkStar's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
It's a global ban for cheating. My guess would be that your CD key has been stolen and sold on to a cheater who has gotten it banned. Contact BattlEye, we can't do anything. -
Will this computer build run Day Z
Mos1ey replied to Saltiren's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
The CPU is kinda weak and you have integrated graphics. I'd estimate 10-20 FPS, maybe less in big cities. If you're building a PC with the intention of playing DayZ I'd recommend saving up some more money and aiming for 3Ghz+ quad-core and a med-tier dedicated graphics card. If you have any more questions please use the 'Can I Run It?' thread which you can find here... http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/64576-can-i-run-it-ask-here/page__st__3240 -
That's nice! Not really high enough res for a wallpaper though.

Epi pens =/= adrenaline syringes, they're already in the game but serve a different purpose, and as above I don't really think the Metal Gear Solid style sniping on valium is very realistic, lol.

Is DayZ considered an indie game ....
Mos1ey replied to exogravis's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I wouldn't consider Bohemia Interactive an indie developer, no. -
Problems Running Game With Other players

Pretty sure Vibox offer PCs on finance. I'd hope so anyway, some of their top-tier machines are £5k+, LOL! -

Mos1ey replied to Baldilocks's topic in New Player Discussion
I'd say #1 but it's a kinda weird build. You don't need 16Gb RAM, you'd be better off with 8Gb of good quality RAM. If you're from the UK maybe try a custom build on Vibox? :) -

Depends on the game. Some games rely on the graphics card a lot more and you'd be fine with a lower spec CPU as long as you had a good GPU but yeah, I'd aim for a 3Ghz+ quad (even overclocked if possible) if you want to play ARMA, DayZ, or a lot of other open world games that require a lot of processing power. -

Mos1ey replied to Baldilocks's topic in New Player Discussion
For DayZ - I'd recommend a 3Ghz quad-core, minimum. You can get away with slightly less powerful hardware in ARMA II, but the zombies, dead players, dead zombies etc. etc. all over the place in DayZ really put a lot of strain on your CPU. -
What are your system specs and have you tweaked your settings and config at all to try and improve your fame rate?
-
Yeah, it's probably a singleplayer bug. The singleplayer version of DayZ is unofficial and even more buggy than the alpha mod.

New To ARMA and DayZ today. Not very welcoming.
Mos1ey replied to TxJBxT's topic in New Player Discussion
Did you really expect the zombie apolcalypse to be 'welcoming'? xD Hang in there and try to learn something from every death and you'll improve pretty quickly! -

A graphics card won't help when you're playing on a laptop with a 2.5Ghz dual-core CPU, unfortunately. My laptop's slightly higher spec than yours (with dedicated graphics) and I don't even bother with ARMA on it.
