ARMA eats up a fair bit of bandwidth compared to other games so connection problems or inconsistancies are more noticeable. Have you tried rebooting your router? -

You get higher resolution textures with the extra DLCs but DayZ is fully playable with just Combined Ops. :) -

@OP - Did you start playing on a different server by any chance? @Cowboy - In the standalone all zombies and possibly loot will be spawned in on server restart. -
If you have problems with artifacting try changing the video memory in your graphics options between default and very high until it sorts itself out.

+1 Other than zombies, which are supposed to be pretty much brain dead, I love the fact that DayZ is completely player-driven.

Yeah, but the game itself without zombies is more intensive. You'll get a more FPS but that system will still struggle.

Performance in the standalone is only slightly better than DayZ mod TBH because the graphics have been improved.

ARMA 2 is really hardware intensive, AC3 is kids stuff in comparison, lol. Good luck, disabling the things I told you too should help a bit.

In your graphics settings in ARMA 2: OA - anti-aliasing, PPoE and post-process effects, lol. All should be disabled if you're having problems with low FPS. :) Also, try setting everything else to normal or low. You might find you actually have more FPS with normal because setting things to low puts to load on your CPU instead of your graphics card.

Have you got AA, PPoE and post-process disabled? Maybe AToC too TBH. That rig isn't really cut out for ARMA and DayZ so beyond playing with your settings there isn't a lot you're gonna be able to do, unfortunately.

If you don't want to lose vehicles then don't bother repairing them, lol. It's part of the game. -

If you want to avoid the high risk/reward Chernlektro death run you can always opt for the quieter route up through Zelenegorsk, or head to Berezino if you spawn on the east coast. -
If you bought through Steam make sure you remove the old key and replace it with the new one. You won't be banned again, just don't cheat this time.

If it's an admin ban then write a proper ban appeal with the server name in the title in the Ban Appeals sub-forum. If it's a global ban then only BattlEye can help you, it's got nothing to do with us.

Yeah, empty ones. xD That's because admin changed the settings. By default expert = 3DP: OFF.

Third-person is disabled on expert servers. Most people choose to play on the lower difficulty servers, so there aren't many around.

I actually agree, but as the hero play style is definitely the hardest of the lot (IMO) I really don't oppose the idea of the skin coming with a couple of extra perks.
