Try ARMA 3. Even the good, old CoD games will never satisfy you if you're looking for an immersive experience. They just aren't that kind of game.

To be fair, most of the IW guys that worked on the first few CoD games were the same guys that dev'd the old MoH games. They'd done the WWII time period to death. xD Anyway, back on topic... :)

I have to strongly agree with this one. Even CoD2 had a bolt animation for the Enfield. xD

I've only ever found M4A3 CCOs and M4A1 CCO SDs. I didn't realise both variants were available in DayZ, lol. xD

Then everyone would complain that he broke his promise and should be working on the standalone.

I'm pretty sure it's because I was away for a week or so last month and pretty much everyone just up and left.

The laptop will run DayZ fine but you might want to get a cooler. Also, if you haven't bought it yet and don't need a laptop then I would go with a desktop machine. You'd get much better performance for the same money. You need to put the server name in the thread title to increase the chance of an admin from that server seeing the thread and also your in-game name would be helpful. Good luck.

No word on a release date, they're still adding bits and pieces and testing though so it's not gonna be in the next few days or anything.

Did reinstalling help? Sounds like something went wrong with your installation. Also, have you tried using DayZ Commander instead of SIX?

No. Contact BIS, they might be able to issue you another copy of the game if they can confirm that it's been stolen. It's 110% your own responsibility to protect your CD-key though.

If I already had a weapon that I liked, sure I'd hide a body with an AS50 or similar on it. I always hide bodies just to make sure that the person can't run back and claim any of their gear. Saying that it should take over a minute to complete the action when you don't mention repairing vehicles, filling fuel tanks or any other actions that are massively scaled down for the purposes of DayZ seems a bit ridiculous to me. It's like you're just picking the one that inconveniences you... Instead of expecting the devs to remove ping limits, do you not think you'd be better off contacting the admin from a couple of Aus servers, explaining your situation and asking nicely if they could possibly up their ping limit? Having people running around with 200+ ping really drags down everyone else's experience, unfortunately, and I definitely think server owners should definitely have the right to set a max ping.

Zombies eating a body and causing all the loot to disappear is less realistic than burying a body with the loot... xD

I'm not sure the ping limits in the standalone will be any different. You kinda ruin everyone else's experience by running around with 300 ping and lagging all over the place, lol. They'll probably always be one of those things that the server owner is allowed to set. Where abouts in the world do you live, out of interest? I'm in the middle east at the minute and can't really see many places being much more remote than here. There was one server in Qatar that's gone down now, other than that I have to play on EU or Asian servers with high ping and I haven't had any problems at all. :S Have you ever considered the fact that maybe loot needs to be removed from the world? If every item that's been looted remains in the world then the rare items build up over time and aren't rare any more. Like I said in my last post - I don't think it's important for every aspect of the game to be 100% realistic as long as it represents something realistic. And I don't think the addition of faeces in the standalone is anything to do with realism, it's part of the disease system...

Have you checked your temps while at full load? It's probably overheating and you may have damaged components due to overheating in the past.

Obviously it's a representation of burying the body. I guess similar to how you can repair a car's chasis with scrap metal and there's no welding involved... How would you know where bodies were buried? No offence but it kind of sounds like you just got killed, went back for your body which wasn't there, and then came on here to make this thread, lol.

It actually was. I had that pissing Enfield all day! Then I trecked up to the NW airfield and found an M240, which I proceeded to lose in the grass when I went to hatchet a goat. I hate myself sometimes... Then I went to Stary and there wasn't much there, just 2 boxes of M240 ammo and an AK-74 with no ammo...
