Interesting. This could work quite nicely if they put a load of spawn points around the outskirts of all the towns and then when you connect to a new server you're dumped at one of the spawn points around the town you logged out in.

You can't regain blood through eating when you aren't hungry, that was added in the last patch. You have to wait 10 minutes before eating again will affect your blood level.

Arma 2 free not on steam anymore?

Yes. Get ARMA II: Free from BIS' website and buy ARMA II: Operation Arrowhead wherever you want and then you can play DayZ mod. It's worth noting that using ARMA II: Free means you will have low quality textures and sound in-game though. If you want the high-quality textures you have to buy the full version of ARMA II. -
That's Dynamic Zombie Sandbox, LOL. It's not even a mod, just a mission...

An ARMA 3 mod would be full of the same problems that we've had in the mod whereas the purpose-built game will see all of these resolved. It'd pretty much be DayZ mod minus the clunky movement with similar graphics to the standalone. Also, porting the mod over to a different engine will no doubt introduce new problems.

It was never possible to clear an area of zombies, they've always kept respawning. Have we been playing the same mod? Lol.

ARMA's controls are a bit convoluted, but they're quite logical when you think about it... G - gear M - map B - binoculars Etc... You'll get the hang of it though, it's just the inventory that's a pain when you're new. You could try Balota Buddies if you're looking for a hack-free server that doesn't have 9,001 vehicles, starter gear, 24/7 daylight and all the other super-noob friendly stuff that's become commonplace. Check their forums for info on how to get access. Check the private-hives sub-forum on here if you wanna take a look at others too though.

You don't need to use them anyway, it's just easier. :) Launching DayZ mod through Steam is an easy way to launch the mod, but you won't be able to download custom maps and mods. -
That's a nice build mate, enjoy! :) Why are you planning on playing on a 32" screen though? You'd be much better off playing on a small screen on a desk! :)

I prefer DC, so that's the one that I always recommend. I think SIX has been improved quite a lot since I used it though so why not try both and form your own opinion? :) -
Both are awful, lol. Your best bets are Fraps or DxTory. I'd recommend getting the demos and trying both and then buying the one that you prefer.

You'd probably get kicked for using modified files. There was a suggestion for integrating custom weapon sounds in DayZ a few days ago though, I'll try find the link... Well with Chernarus having so many military bases you could argue that the civilians raided them for supplies and weaponry during the early days of the infection. But I know what you mean, I'd like to see some more civilian weaponry too. It would add to immersion for me.
