Hmm... That's strange. Can you hear other people's direct comms and they're unable to hear you? Or is it just not working all together? And are you getting the mic icon indicating that you're broadcasting voice? -

There are legitimate uses for CheatEngine, I use a similar program to bypass the stupid 30 FPS cap on LA Noire. Opening such programs while playing a multiplayer game is a really bad idea though, not sure you'll have much luck appealing the ban. I'd take the tutorials first and then go and have some fun in the editor. Just dump a load of vehicles on an airstrip and take them for a spin. :)

I spawned in the new part of Cherno in the dark and must have gone in circles for about 15 minutes before finally figuring out where I was... u,u They really have changed quite a lot around.

I dunno. Do you have morphine, adrenaline and frag grenades in your home? Lol. I was thinking more along the lines of clothes, compass/map, food/water, binocularls, basic first aid (bandages and so on) etc. Just basic stuff that someone might have gathered in the early days of the infection.

Not really. You want a 3Ghz quad-core, ideally, and the 540 isn't really a gaming graphics card. I imagine the mobile version is even worse. This topic is from May last year and it's an ARMA 2 bug, not DayZ. Don't revive old, useless topics please, especially when you have nothing to add.

I don't think they said 150. I think Rocket said 'up to 100' and I don't think 150 people have the game yet TBH. For me 30-40 was the magic number for Chernarus, with the new areas and expanded old areas in Chernarus+ I think 50-75 would be good for me.

1) They physically couldnt have released in December. The game would literally have been 50 players on a server running around in their underwear with no loot, no weapons, nothing. They're still releasing in alpha and following the Minecraft dev model. 2) DayZ standalone isn't using the ARMA 2 engine. It's using a heavily modified version of a mix between the Take on Helicopters and ARMA 2 engines with quite a few things ported over from ARMA 3. You aren't coming across as a dick, just incredibly misinformed.

What is the proof of purchase for, if you don't mind my asking? I don't think you'll be able to get a receipt but there are probably other ways that you can prove ownership, depending on what it's for.

You'd be able to run DayZ but you'd be playing on fairly low settings with quite low FPS. Your CPU and graphics card are both quite weak. In answer to your original question - your performance in the OA demo will give you a basic idea of how well you'd run DayZ but will all the extra zombie AI calculations for your CPU and other things DayZ is a bit more intensive than regular ARMA. Traps/completely random deaths would piss me off something awful. Within a few hours the 3 major cities would just be full of traps. -

He didn't list the mobo but I think you'd have a hard job finding a decent quad-core that's the same socket as an Athlon dual. Like Beat said, I'd go with a new motherboard and CPU combo first. The 550Ti isn't particularly bad and ARMA 2 can only use 2Gb RAM, so you should see a massive increase in performance with a new, better CPU. -
Footprints on the ground- Dayz Standalone feature suggestion

In real life you don't leave obvious footprints unless it's been raining and the dirt is soft. Seems a bit ridiculous that you'd leave obvious footprints on grass and then leave dirt footprints on concrete on a sunny day. -
Depends where you find them. If you found a backpack in a house then it would make sense for it to have stuff in it, maybe clothes or basic survival gear, maybe in military areas too (nothing high end, just some random ammo or something). But if you found a backpack in a supermarket then it would probably be new therefore empty. I agree that the idea of making searching bags instead of just seeing a backpack with less storage space than the one you're carrying and dismissing it is nice.
