No, no, no. IT ISN'T BEING RELEASED TOMORROW. It's rumoured that a date will be released tomorrow, not the game. Also, I don't think streamers are gaining early access any more. Rocket's new line of thinking seems to be that if it's ready for streamers to show footage then it's ready for release.

It isn't a question of skill or whether the weapons are overpowered. The fact of the matter is that anti-material rifles have no place in Charnarus and being able to run around with them and fire (accurately) from the hip is ridiculous. They aren't in keeping with the tone of the game.

I have to agree with SmashT, I think it's poor form that he's so active on Reddit and not here. Especially after the problems that their community has caused. No, we're staying put. The URL might change but we're keeping the same forums. -
You'll struggle with low FPS because the CPU is very weak. You should maintain 60+ FPS at all times with everything maxed and post-process effects disabled.

Indeed, I'm sick of this approach to the game. X, Y and Z aren't perfect so don't take away the imperfections that I like. On a side note - They're 'engine parts' not an entire engine and flashlights etc. will require batteries in the standalone. :)

It isn't being released in June, lol. The dev team are 'reviewing the situation' i.e. getting together and hopefully setting some kind of schedule for when they'd like things to be completed by in June. -

The i3 machine will struggle to hit 30 FPS regardless of graphics settings, which is unplayable IMO. If you upgraded to an i5 3470 and 7850 you would see a pretty big performance increase as well as being able to bump your settings up a bit. Also, the i3 3220 and i5 3470 use the same socket so you wouldn't have to worry about getting a new motherboard. Indeed, the problem is your CPU. The Q6600 is horribly outdated and ARMA games are all about the CPU. You'll need a CPU, motherboard and most likely RAM (assuming that's DDR2 based on how old the CPU is) upgrade to get DayZ running smoothly. You should aim for a recent quad-core that hits above 3Ghz. The i5 2500k or 3570k would be great choices, or the FX-6100 from AMD if you want to save yourself some cash.

I've played in a couple of servers where KoS wasn't allowed. If you were a bandit you had to 'make contact' i.e. try to rob the person and if they resisted or tried to run you could kill them, if you weren't a bandit and someone tried to rob you you could kill them. It was actually kind of fun TBH.

Nope, Steam users can install on multiple machines, HWID binding would be a royal pain the arse if you bought a new PC! -

No and I strongly recommend that you don't go looking for anything similar. A lot of people advertise 'DayZ FPS boosters' that are actually malware that sends your CD key to them, which they then sell on to people who have been banned for cheating for a couple of quid and they'll more than likely end up getting you banned too. -

I'm surprised you can even run the game TBH, you're running on integrated graphics. Just set everything to low/off and maybe run in windowed mode with a lower resolution. -
They are releasing it in alpha. It isn't ready yet.

No chance they'll change the skins in the mod at this point, they've become almost iconic, lol.

Rocket always said that he didn't like the idea of tutorials so I don't think one will ever be implemented. Some kind of benchmarking feature would be nice so you can get your graphics settings sorted before you jump in to the game though.
