A lot left to complete? If that's what you mean then I have no idea, I'm not involved in development at all, I'm just a forum moderator. You'd be best off asking in this topic (http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/132982-new-patch-coming-soon-to-dayz/) and hoping for a reply from R4Z0R.

On top of what Rage said, the PMC and BAF DLCs only add high-res player models and textures for the weapons from those DLCs. You aren't actually missing out on any DayZ content by not purchasing them. If you decided that you want them further down the line then no, that wouldn't cause any complications. Again - all you need to play DayZ mod are ARMA 2 (or ARMA 2: Free, but using that method would mean that all of Chernarus would use low-res textures and sounds) and ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead.

I can see why people are getting a little antsy, it's been a while since the last patch, what we've seen of 1.7.7 looks awesome and we want it nao! But at some point you just have to chill out and accept that these things take time and are usually best left until they're completely ready rather than rushed out and released broken.

On topic: I don't particularly like the idea either. I quite like the whole washing up the shore spiel. What's wrong with the current rare spawn points? i.e. not Kamenka. ;D

These issues are caused by the fact that DayZ is forcing ARMA to do things that it wasn't made to do, a lot of them can't and won't be fixed until the standalone. 1.7.7 will be released when it's finished and Rocket's 'okay'd' all of the changes.

Indeed, the problem is your CPU. You aren't seeing a big improvement in FPS when you use 'low' settings because when you set something to low it puts the load on your CPU, which is the reverse of what you want for your particular system. Try disabling anything that can be disabled and setting everything else to 'normal'.

Again, you're trying to make them Romero 'undead' zombies, in DayZ they're just humans infected with a virus. They have the same sense of smell as your average human.

Well considering they usually run on avgas or kerosene it's actually incredibly illogical but yes, you refuel them at gas stations. -
Heli crashes are where it's at. Found a DMR, an M14 AIM and an ammo box with 10 DMR mags and 10 M24 'mags' which I combined into DMR mags tonight. It's frustrating when you find ones that have already been looted but it's well worth the searching for when you eventually find a fresh one, lol. On a side note - I don't really play that much any more. Haven't been able to locate NVG or a coyote pack, where are they spawning these days? Pfft... I was up there in a bus this evening... xD

That will run fine on close to max settings, installing your OS, ARMA 2 and DayZ mod to an SSD would also help, yes. Yeah, should run smoothly on normal-high settings. Not sure about FPS as I've no experience with those CPUs, I hear they perform pretty well though.

If you want to play ARMA then get ARMA 3. If you want to play ARMA and DayZ mod then get ARMA 2. As above if you only want to play DayZ then I'd just wait for the standalone, large-scale closed testing starts tomorrow so it really can't be long now!

There is an NDA, I don't think streamers will be allowed to broadcast or distribute video or images at this point.

If it's ready for large-scale closed testing then they must be getting close. Rocket hinted that a date would be set very soon, I'd just wait for the date as opposed to speculating.

I've taken out multiple players before any of them could get a shot off with an M4. You don't need .50cal rifles in DayZ to instil fear. ;)
