As above - it's server lag. Try leaving the 120m radius and coming back a few minutes later.

Your FPS in a server depends on how fast the machine running the server is and whether it's shared hosting as much as anything else, so it's impossible to say, really. You should be fine running on 'high' settings though. I'm playing on a similar build at the minute. It'll run on high to very high settings but you'll struggle a bit in the cities while recording. Should run max settings fine. Better than your current build mate. ;)

AWA Private Hives are usually 30+/60 unless it's the middle of the night. I'd recommend just deleting your @DayZ folder and reinstalling with DayZ Commander if you're having problems. It's much easier. http://www.dayzcommander.com/

At present there is no 'humanity' system in the standalone. I don't think it's been ruled out completely though. I'd quite like to see a humanity system of sorts but less obtrusive than the bandit/survivor/hero skins.

Realistically, I can't see any reason why people would write something like that down and then carry it around with them. It doesn't make sense. I'd like to be able to view the journal of dead players though.

I haven't uploaded anything for a while but have you tried rendering as .avi and converting to .mp4 with easy h.264? The quality translates to YouTube pretty much flawlessly.

The standalone is updated pretty much every day and has been since it went up on Steam. It doesn't mean anything.

Me too. I get in to a fight every time I go to Berezino, lol. It's usually just the one guy as opposed to the constant running from gunfire in Cherno and Elektro though. xD

Intel Turbo Boost isn't something that you enable, it automatically boosts itself by a few Mhz whenever your CPU is under heavy load. I think the main problems are that 1) you're playing on a laptop and because of this probably suffering from overheating issues and a slow HDD bogging everything down and 2) your CPU is a little slow. What are your current graphics settings? A screenshot would be great if possible. The best thing you can do is make sure that they're set up to match the strengths and weaknesses of your system. RAMDisk will help a little bit if you manage to get that working because your HDD is probably slow, but you'll only be able to fit DayZ on there. You'll still be running all the ARMA .pbo's from the slow HDD.

I'm generally friendly, the problem is that no one else is. xD It literally takes 30 seconds to get whitelisted on AWA's servers. You just try to connect and it'll kick you with an application code. You punch that and a few other details into their site (awkack.org), hit submit, and you're done. You don't need to get your GUID or anything as it assigns your app code to your GUID when you try to connect. If you're playing on the main hive then it's not that different other than the lack of side chat and no third-person/crosshair/etc. It's a good server if you fancy dropping by some time though. :) How often do you think your local petrol station has it's tanks filled up? Now imagine everyone in your town was trying to get out of town at the same time and needed petrol, lol.

Indeed, just playing some ARMA 2 will help and the EW campaign is awesome anyway IMO. Just remember these... W A S D is obviously basic movement. Z X C is prone/crouch/stand. Shift is walk/run. Double-tap to toggle. F cycles firing modes and grenades. G is gear Scroll wheel cycles through actions. Left-click to select one. ...And you're pretty much set. The others are pretty logical and easy to remember; B for binoculars, M for map, K for compass, etc. etc. You'll get it, lol. :)

There's no side chat in #3 there's a bit less friend making than servers #1 and #2, but it's a lot of fun. Definitely my favourite server these days. Only problem is there are usually only ~15 players and it's a 60 slot server. Come and check it out if you think you're man enough, and bring friends!

Hatchet. /topic Really, the hatchet is your best friend. If you want to loot somewhere like Stary solo it's a good idea to leave enough space in your pack to quickly switch out your primary to a melee weapon. Aggro'd zeds are like a beacon to other players.

Yeah, that would be a nice touch. Something like tear gas would be good too.

The buildings would have to be hollowed out and insides modelled for them. Yes, it is quite hard to do. I can't see it happening in the mod but in DayZ standalone you will be able to enter 95-100%% of the buildings in Chernarus.
